Your Boi get the snot kicked out of him. He can take his skirt and head on back to, Scotland. He left the manly attire in the ring. The Belts
He's very physically gifted and talented and so much better when he uses his brain, counter punches and slickness. I give him zero respect for being too much of a coward to face the champ though in his backyard which he refused to do back when Taylor held all four belts. But Taylor was not sharp at all though and clearly not the same fighter he was a few years ago, especially the one we saw under the tutelage of Shane McGuigan who is not only the best young trainer in the sport but one of the best period and a brilliant strategist.
Keep making your excuses for Taylor. He's just not that good. He's long, has height and reach, but he's just not good in a dog fight with a true competitor. We have seen this twice. One was a Robbery. And this time TWO judges had Taylor down bye only 2 points. Those Judges should be fired and never judge a fight again.
They're not excuses. It was dumb of him (the champ) to take the fight after a 16 month layoff, in his opponent's backyard, and after looking terrible in his last fight which the vast vast majority had him losing, and it being his first fight with as new trainer against a very physically gifted and talented fighter like Teofimo. It doesn't mean he would've won had he been at his best but it would've stood him in much better stead. He beat some very good fighters on route to becoming undisputed in just 18 fights FFS And I've been saying this about him loading up on his shots and not boxing relaxed going way back to the Postol fight and it was a really bad move to part ways with McGuigan From the RBR
Yeah, you're saying that now, but what will you be saying after he goes life and death with Montana Love, Arnold Barboza or Stevie Spark?
I agree he's not that good, but disagree he has plenty of dog and grit in him but his incomplete skillset means when he's forced to fight on the outside he just doesn't have a clue. If anything it's his grit that's gotten him where he was being undisputed because he's isn't especially talented, just big and technically pretty good in close for such a big man, but his outside game is woeful as we saw vs Catterall and Lopez.
I think Taylor would be a good fight for Haney at 140. A known name whose limitations are now obvious.
Like him or not, the guy is very talented no doubt about it. Too bad he is *****, as well as his father. He could be even better.
It's not that hard to figure out, he lost to Kambosos and looked horrible against and probably should have lost to Martin and Nakatani. Everyone is crowing about how great he was tonight, yet what will everyone be saying when he shits the bed against another underwhelming opponent he should steamroll.
