Terrible decision. Teo can add up his next 3 fight purses and it may not hit 1.2 mil.

He's already an ATG and seen a a h2h beast as a pro. If you think Lopez validates his pro run then good for you.

Bob should just give in and bump the entitled little twats pay up to 1.5, which is pretty much double his highest payday I think, let Loma seal the deal at 135.. There is no way he can moan at that amount… Especially considering if he beats Loma it will propel him into the big leagues financially.. he has done nothing to start demanding multi million dollar days tho, especially in today's climate… there is no excuse for turning a revised offer down now, it's an obvious duck if he does! He really doesn't sound confident does he, after all the big talk…

You're a bitter hater mad that pbf dominated an entire era of boxing. Never mind that while pbf was with top rank it was Bob arum who told him who to fight for 80% of his career dummy but you left that out because it didn't suit your agenda. As someone earlier posted guys have wanted more money long before pbf troll. Srl wanted more money for Pryor for example. Guys have always wanted to get paid long before pbf casual.

A win over Berchelt and Valdez will raise a better legacy don't you think? Loma has not beaten a real threat since Rigo and that was like what? 3 years ago?? Pure waste of time and talent

I like the fights you've mentioned but I find the idea that he needs Lopez to validate his career laughable.

    Exactly!

HOW does a fighter who's already a higher rated guy need the lower rated guy w/ ONE solid win to his career? It's ind boggling some of the things fans say here.

Why not try looking beyond that. Fighters reducing fights to 2 times a year, promoters creating massive marketing campaigns to promote the fight as a major event, because it is not aired on free tv. Promotion teams and broadcasting teams not willing to work with each other. The general public falling out of love with boxing. All the various governing bodies with heaps of belts, heaps of extra divisions. All these things played a much larger role than Floyd or any single boxer ever could in the current landscape.

Boxers basically need to market themselves as best as they can. As a top fighter who fights 2-4 a year, they needs to be able to make enough money to retire at 1/3 of their life span.

Ducking this, ducking that, cherry picking, running, hugging. This was around long before Floyd. You have Iron Mike as part of your name, did you not see what Holyfield's strategy against Mike was?

I'm tired of having to lower myself to slandering boxers, but I can spin things with words too.

Floyd cherry picked a weight drained champion in Canelo at a weight class he has no business fighting in. If Loma is such as warrior, why doesn't he move up in weight and challenge Taylor and ask Taylor to come in on weigh in at one less pound than the limit like Canelo did?

Even one of his top wins Linares went up a division and got laid out by Cano. A fighter that isn't even a gate keeper that lost a dubious decision against a shot to pieces Mosley years after Mosley lost to Floyd. Loma isn't even willing to do that. What kind of warrior is he?

There are varying degrees of this. The point here is that Floyd popularised the duckery.

Teo should under no circumstances just accept the first offer. Only an idiot who has never done a deal in their life would accept the first offer. Arum trying to use media pressure to put Teo of negotiating by leaking inside talks. Teo should stick to his guns and ask for more. There is a lot of money there to be made.

    What an awful post.

Loma has made the offer to fight Lopez, Lopez is the one turning it down.

Not accepting the first offer, with the intention of eventually negotiating a fight is fine.

Not accepting an offer with the intention of walking away is not.
