Probably because Loma might be slipping he looked bad against Linares and if he loses to Lopez especially by knock out Loma will just going to get wrost, on the other hand Lopez is still young if he loses he still has a lot of time to progress just like Canelo when he lost to Mayweather.

Loma still had time my man. He already has a distinguished career. By the way, I give Lopez slightly more than a puncher's chance to pull off the upset. Loma is far from unbeatable being above his ideal weight class.

I don’t understand this false narrative that Loma looked “bad” against Linares. Loma won almost every round and probably only lost 2 rounds at most (including the KD where he was easily winning that round before getting a flash KD). He practically dominated Linares for the majority of the fight even though Linares gave a valiant effort.
I’m not buying this idea that Loma will all of a sudden fade into oblivion if he were to lose. Even if he does somehow lose I can still see Loma bounce back. If anything Lopez seems more likely to crash and burn and lose his confidence/spirit if he were to lose by humiliating defeat. I still question his mental toughness. He’s the one that has to prove if he has any heart or discipline and if he’s willing to learn and improve from a possible loss.

All three would beat Tank IMO. A teenage Teo was a near match for a 20 year old Tank. Loma runs circles around Tank and makes him look ordinary. Haney keep him at range and picks him apart.

No rematch suits Lopez far more than it suits Loma, smart move by Lopez if he was the one who insisted on it.

It depends entirely on how they lose. Terrible posters like you are the first ones to write off a boxer after he loses. Unless he happens to be the only boxer you watch that is. Young fighters with great potential can be beaten mentally more so than physically and have a difficult time returning to form. Boxing is about mental toughness, not just physical toughness. You're the Victor Ortiz of posters, so I don't fully expect you to understand. But if you have half a brain, you'll get my point. I have hopes for you, despite our arguments.

Russell Jr. was a great win for Loma. Russell is a frustrating fighter because he takes so much time between fights. It’s probably never going to change. He was talking about moving up to fight Haney but that fizzled. I’m glad because there are enough good opponents for GRJ who aren’t twenty pounds heavier. It is too bad he can’t get big fights because he’s talented and fun to watch.
