We're literally talking about a guy who broke Loma's entire identity. He's gonna destroy Haney and he'd treat Garcia and Rolly as he did Commey.

And Taylor's identity too. Teo is certainly at his best when he's faced with the best opponent put in front of him. He's proved people wrong time after time again so I wouldn't count out his chances to pull it off. At the same time I can't shake the feeling that Haney might do everything he can to spoil the fight.

If Teo is mentally sharp, improves on cutting the ring off and retains his explosive power he's got a good shot to win.

It will be fought at a 145 pound CW. Teo is going to whoop that ass!

    Great fight.

I would not be surprised, however, if Haney's spoiler, jab & grab approach troubled Teo.

Teo's power at 140lbs has been a bit pedestrian, GC.

We might be in the minority here, but I too think Haney's a live dog for some of the reasons you mentioned.

That's the only way Haney can win this is to make it a jab and grab type of fight. Teofimo is just the all around more complete fighter when it comes to skills and fundamentals and that's going to win it for Lopez IMO. I think he catches Haney with something big somewhere around the middle rounds where he can't recover and the ref stops it.

I don't. If Haney gets tagged, he will go into defensive mode the rest of the fight. I think Teo catches him early and will just need to out work Haney from that point on.

Teo winning isn't a given. He has struggled with and downright lost to lesser fighters.

Teo has a history of always rising to the occasion when he's fighting top opponents. It's when he's mentally checked out against lesser fighters that he looks mediocre. It's not an absolute given that he wins against Haney but it's a notable characteristic for Teo to always come out on top when he's in a fight that most think he could possibly lose (Loma, Taylor, Barboza). The question people will have between the two of them is how focused is Teo going to be and if Haney is going to fight to win or to survive.

    That's possible, D-lou.

Though I've been impressed wirh Teo's boxing evolution, his power hasn't translated to 140lbs.

Lopez certainly hits hard enough to keep opponents honest, but he's yet to demonstrate genuine one-punch power at 140lbs. Likewise, I think Haney might be more durable than many currently suspect.

    I like Teo by decision.
