About time! Should be an interesting match up. Shakur is most likely going to be favored but if Teo stays 100% focused he could have a good shot.

 

What a way to start the year. The prefight build up and trash talk should be entertaining. I just hope the fight itself turns out to be good and not a staring contest. Especially when you have two counterpunchers.

Thats a big surprise these days, somewhat short notice too. Excellent fight, looking forward to that one.

I'll back Shakur points, as I think Shakur will be effective in controlling the fight on the backfoot and forcing the tempo which will be a struggle for Teofimo on the front foot.

Teofimo is a good good fighter so it could go either way.

 

I predict an awful lot of posing, somewhat less punching.

If Teo accepts that he'll miss much more than he lands and doggedly commits to initiating the action and punching in bunches, it's possible that he can steal enough rounds and get a decision by virtue of at least appearing as though he's the one making the fight/being aggressive.

The gamble, of course, is that when pressed, Stevenson can be a brilliant counterpuncher.

I don't think its a good stylistic match up for Teofimo, although I think it will be decently competitive like the Segura fight - not as one sided as you're saying.

 

It's a sad state of affairs when we have to praise guys for doing what they should (fight the best)

But anyways props for both of them I hope it's a great fight.

One of the more skillful match ups that could be made right now. I think Shakur will surprise by fighting Teo at close quarters for significant portions of the fight and I predict him to win this one especially down the stretch.

Teo is legit though and if he's firing on all cylinders he'll give Shakur some scares and make it very competitive.

 

It's going to be tedious. Shakur will get a decsion. They'll want too much money. That said, it's an important matchup so I'll buy and ***** about it. ****ing boxing.

 

Both are very good fighters but I think Shakur is going to win easily for stylistic reasons.
