Teofimo Lopez wants $100M if he wants to continue boxing

He is worth 5 to 10 mill a fight.He needs to look good in the fights and he might get that kind of pay check.But the showboating and lunging in is an eye sore.He needs to tweak his entertainment value to get paid.

 

100M Russian Ruble, that's like 1.2 M US$. Sure that's doable.

 

Maybe not 100 million but if he fights Haney next, and includes a rematch clause there can be a lot of money on the table for him. Purse + PPV.

 

10mill is a bit of a stretch for a fighter who has no PPV history. Even Gervonta who was way more proven(ppv-wise) was only guaranteed $5mill for the Garcia fight.

I get your point, but calling Lopez a coward for not rematching is harsh. Look at it this way. Loma did not want the rematch clause, which, in my opinion, is Loma saying, if I beat you you will not get a rematch. Let's be honest, Loma would have done the same as Lopez if he had won.

 

To be fair, Chisora has put in the work and built himself a strong fanbase.
His resume is insane.

Teo ain't asking for these ridiculous amounts of money on his own. He has been extremely over hyped by the boxing media and commentators and he actually believes that yak and is acting on it. He ain't no Ray Leonard, Duran, Hearns. Mayweather, Pac, Oscar, Chavez, Ali, Canelo, and that's to name a few. He's not even a Jermell Charlo or GGG, or Spence or Crawford. He down there with Garcia, Porter, Thurman, What I am saying is that he has no business asking anybody for a 100 million anything, Neither his skills, drawing power, or resume demands it. He did win against Loma and Taylor but it was no masterclass taking place and in-between those fights he looked like a louse. No consistency. However, these commentators talking him up like he raised the dead and walked on the water. His stank daddy telling him the same thing over and over and he is actually brainwashed. If he runs through Prograis, Matias and Ramirez then I can see him asking for twenty or thirty mil.

 

Well hot damn that type of money might actually be worth all the head trauma he’s been enduring these past couple years.
