After Teo released that sparring footage of him beating up Rollie over the Oscar De La Hoya comments, that got me thinking like what if Teo signed with Golden Boy With Ryan about to leave Golden Boy, Oscar gonna need a new young talent, and Teo seems to be everything Oscar wanted out of Ryan. He's highly skilled, he's entertaining, got a lot of knockouts, latino, and most of all Teo always wants the toughest and biggest fights. Plus, Teo always complaining about not getting paid enough, so with Oscar no problems. Like Oscar can be weird and sh*t but everything that man touches turns to gold, Teo and Oscar can both be rich and delusional together lol Teo's contract with Top Rank only lasts for the remainder of 2023, so if Oscar gets a hold of him this year, that will be the best for Teo's career imo. Like maybe then Oscar will actually have a fighter that can beat Tank and rub it in Floyd's face
Credit to ODLH he has a great eye for boxing talent. Oscar was the man behind many of our favorite fights in the early to mid 2000s that Arum would have definitely robbed us of, and Oscar did scout 95% of all those fighters that Haymon and Schaffer scalped him for, now including Canelo. Teo with Oscar could be good, but Oscar's drug and drinking keeps him from being a great promoter like he once was.
Yeahh with Oscar at the helm, I def think he can help Teo get the big fights he wants more easily. Like possibly a megafight with Dev or Matias. And maybe even Bud if possible. Oscar was always willing to make the biggest fights happen with Ryan but Ryan never wanted the smoke to begin with.
Teo doesn't need a coke addicted/completely cooked unit managing his career. Any doubts? Ask Canelo or Garcia.
its exactly what he needs … a delusional promoter willing to “Pay through the nose” desperately chasing the dragon in search of a new bag.
I shat when Teo said one of his camps (can't remember the fight) cost $250 000. My first thought was 50 of that went up Dad's nose.
Yeah this. Garcia was left stranded by Oscar after his loss vs Tank. I thought Oscar could drag Ryan over the line in that one. But I was wrong.
