Robert Helenius (26-2, 16 KO) and Erkan Teper (19-2, 12 KO) were appointed to fight for the vacant title of the heavyweight European Union champion. Previously, this title belonged to Otto Wallin.

The boxer camps were given time to reach an agreement on this matter. If they fail, on September 4 there will be a tender emerging from the organizer of the duel.

Helenius boxed for the last time in March, and he will fight again next week. Teper, who in his career lost, among others with Mariusz Wach, he last boxed in April, winning by technical knockout with Davit Gorgiladze.

Not a fight anyone likely cares to much about as neither can compete on the world level.

Helenius is shot to hell he's won a SD in his last fight against a cruiserweight with a 10-14-3 record and his rematching him in his next fight.

Teper hasn't looked good since being done for doping. Losses to Hammer and Wach clearly indicate he isn't at world level. But he still likely beats a shot Helenius.

Would be an appropriate fight for Helenius if he gets past Bykhautsou. Teper should be good enough to motivate Helenius to train more seriously for once.

That punch that killed Price was something though! Roids or no roids!

I actually think that Teper can be a contender not only in Europe but in the World, he just need more fights against serious opposition and Helenius is a good step in in that direction.

Good crossroads fight. Hope it happens. Loser should retire or fight one last guy for an easy win.

This should be Teper off juice? Should be close. I wouldn't be shocked if Teper looks like a turd on fight night

Without Roids it wouldn't put a dent. Teper showing Malinaggi/Juan Diaz power levels off Roids. Price Rises!!! Again!!!!!!

Completely shot guy against a guy whose only talent was PEDS.

Wake me up when Helenius gives Chisora a rematch. Otherwise he ought to retire.
