Yeah for sure but he shouldn't have been in the ring with Crawford tonight he wasn't even ranked in the top 10 and hasn't fought a world class opponent in 3 years. Even his bread and butter which is his speed has diminished.

they show the replay several times after the fight. the blow was actually on the leg. while that is 100% a low blow and an illegal punch. it's not the same as being punched in the balls at all.

I really don't understand why ref's get in fighter's and trainer's faces and keep asking "do you want to continue?" every 5 seconds... Why not just give them the 5 minutes and be patient?

I knew instantly just by Khan's body language that the low blow was a real sickener. You can't fake that **** and if you can you can't do it well enough to fool me.

I feel bad for Khan and it was a joke of a fight. Prime Khan vs Crawford, yeah I would've liked to have seen that but I was genuinely worried during his last fight against Vargas that he was going to get KO'd.

He had 5 minutes and he chose to quit after a punch to the thigh lol! What a joke. Add Quitter to his long list of embarassing flaws

Khan did not quit. If Virgil had showed patience and let the full 5 minutes elapse Khan may have been able to continue. He was in pain but that pain would lessen every minute if the ref would have just let him walk him off in the corner withtout badgering him constantly about re-starting the fight. This is refereeing 101, pretty much every time this happens refs never seem to handle it the way they are supposed to. The last thing you're supposed to do is pressure the fighter to continue. What you're supposed to do is let the fighter know how much time has elapsed, and give him every opportunity to continue. Further, while Khan was walking it off, the ref should have went over to Crawford and warned him about low blows which never seemed to happen. Crawford landed a clear no doubt about it low blow. He could have been DQ'd for that. That was WAY below the belt.

For Virgil to decide to stop the fight when he did after only like a minute had elapsed was idiotic. There's a reason why a fighter has 5 minutes to recover from a low blow. Because when you get hit in the nuts it takes a couple minutes for that pain to go away, you can't know if you can continue until at least 3 or 4 minutes after the low blow. Then after the fight Bud blatantly lies saying it wasn't a low blow lmao and every starts talking about Crawford Spence a fight that apparently can't even happen. How about instead we talk about what the hell just happened, that Crawford just got a TKO Win via very low blow lmao.

It doesn't have to be direct to have a hard effect on the groin. Crawford clearly hit the side of the cup which was pushed into Khans groin. It would have been painful.

The referee should have told him he has 5 minutes to continue.

It should have gone to the cards. But you know, TKO looks better for dud.

Khan didn't make the decision to "not continue" All he was saying was that he was hurt bad by the low blow which he clearly was and he was trying to take the 5 minutes. However everybody and the ref seemed to want to do anything possible to not give him the 5 minutes he deserved which is unacceptable at this level. And the ref is bad enough, for Virgil to decide to stop it when he did was idiotic. If he would have let the 5 minutes elapse then the ref would have asked Khan do you want to continue, giving him one last chance I highly doubt Khan would have said he could have continued when faced with that last chance to continue. It's not in Khan's DNA to quit and after the full 5 minutes I highly doubt he would ever utter those words. And after the pain in his nuts went away he may have even benefitted from the extended break in the action. We were robbed of seeing what would have happened there had the correct procedure been taking by the ref and had Virgil not made the decision to stop it.

And whether or not Khan was on his way to a full-on KO loss is very unclear. Khan was starting to land shots on Crawford. That one left hook was nice and though very unscientific from Khan, he was starting to time Bud with those arm flailing bursts. Still I must say I was dissapointed by Khan. Clearly nerves were getting to Khan you could see it even in the ring intros. The first round knockdown was awful as Khan was winning that round before just I don't know what the hell happened there he just switched off and got spun around like he was falling down a spiral staircase or something. That messed Khan up, but he rebounded in the 2nd round I thought Khan won that 2nd round. Bud took the 3rd I think then Khan complained that his right hand was hurt. So Khan was definitely a little worse for wear but he was still in that fight. I freakin can't believe that low blow BS ending.

Nope, if Amir could not continue after taking his full allotted five minutes, then you could argue it going to a TD. He is the one that opted to call it a night, long before his 5 minutes were up.

Why do you think Ward still has Crawford #1 PFP?

Have you ever seen a FOUL PROOF CUP like today's boxer wears. It doesn't move and they tested it by hitting it a baseball bat. The punch was low but it was on his hip. Khan said it "hurt his stomach." Couldn't even get his story right
