Crawford was probably behind after 5 or 6 rounds but that is the case in a lot of his fights but once he switches gears its over

 

Was an entertaining fight for sure, got to see Bud tested because Shawn mucks it up no matter who he's in with. One of my favorite modern fighters. That said there's alot being said about the stoppage. Let's be real he just hit the canvas twice in 15 seconds after slowly being opened up and taking shots the round before. His Dad saw the finish coming and pulled his boy out of a fight he was already down on the cards in at that point. Could he have continued? Sure. But he wasn't going to win the fight and was likely walking into a stoppage. You guys just wanted blood lol.

Porter has never been close to getting stopped. Stop assuming that Crawford would have stopped him.
We never had to see Porter fight a round to survive. For all you know he would have fought the next two minutes in a very negative way and seen the end.

 

Fair enough. Maybe you're right. I personally think Porter earned the right to try a little longer even if it was unlikely. But it is what it is.

I seen Porter stopped tonight, literally an hour ago.

 

I think Porter has just retired from boxing. That seems to be what he is saying in the press conference. A sad day everyone. And a very sad, disappointing ending to go out like that...

While Shawn deserved the right to continue or go out on his shield I cannot blame a father for deciding his son has had enough. It’s his father and trainer you are not and you or I are not better qualified to make that decision than Kenny Porter.
