Anything is possible, but looked to me that Shawn was just ragin at himself for making another mistake and bull-rushing Bud again rather than trying to be elusive and spoil for a bit to recover.

Porter’s Dad loves him, they have an amazing relationship, he knows his son. He made the decision Shawn wanted made.

I just watched the fight this morning. A few of observations. One, I didn't see any meaningful punches landed by either man for most of the fight. Two, even though Porter was the aggressor much of the fight Crawford did not seem phased. Three, Crawford was doing a lot of holding through much of the early rounds. Four, though Porter was tired he didn't appear that hurt. It appears as though the father threw in the towel because Shawn has enough other things going on outside of the ring, like commentating. In other words, he no longer needs the big paydays like he did when he was younger. This is why fights between older, more established fighters can be a bit tedious at times. They're no longer willing to go through wars to get to the top. Crawford appeared the bigger man, noticeably so.

Porters frustration was palpable ...saying that one Porters best performances, clearly he had to raise game & he did ...but his best would never be enough against Bud...

Styles make fights. Spence is open for Crawford's check hook. I think TC is more capable of taking away Spence's strengths than the other way around. As far as how Crawford looked. Who has ever looked good in a winning effort against Porter? Personally, I can't make a determination that Spence beats TC based on the Porter fight. All I know, a Spence/Crawford fight would be a great fight.

The fight was gritty, it had to be. Nobody has ever fought a beautiful fight against Porter and he has landed heavy shots against every fighter he has fought. People can criticize the way Crawford fought but it's only their personal dislike for him that fuels that BS. In the end, Crawford did what he had to do and dropped and stopped him. Something no other fighter has done. His daddy stops the fight but anybody that knows boxing and Crawford, knows that Porter's ticket was about to be cashed big time.

It's a fight that has to happen now. Crawford has jumped through all the hoops. He no longer has Bob so he has crossed the street into Spence's territory and defeated Spence's last opponent in better fashion than he did. So, let the negotiations began. I don't know who will win but the only thing I hate is the built in excuses that Spence has. He won't use them if he loses because he not that kind of person but everyone around him will.

Unless Josh Taylor comes up to 147 anytime soon, the Spence/Crawford fight is the fight of the division.

Nah....shawn was done. That was just their excuse. Crawford wore him down and stopped him.

Crawford stuck to the body and wore shawn out flat out. Absolutely why shawn gave his daddy the signal and his daddy got him out.

The irony of if that's Kenny reasoning for stopping the fight. Porter talked about this fight being a war like Hagler and Hearns and even wore war on his shorts!

Porter smothered a lot of his best work, and given the close nature of many rounds it's easy see how the judges favored the cleaner work of Crawford. Those cards aren't nearly as egregious as people are making them out to be.
