Oh he only had ONE fight at that weight class?
Tell me how did he look in that fight? Did he struggle with the opponent?

He won a close fight against a talented and undefeated champion. Duran lost to Laing immediately after Benitez, but go ahead and hang your hat on that.

So this person that he lost to what has he since done?
Any shot that he even remotely gets close to a HOF type career? Or has he lost since then ?
Duran also massacred an unbeaten champion a year latter took Hagler to a close fight and then dethroned Barkley well past his prime.
What has Crawfords opponent since since his loss?
Wow an unbeaten boxer - with TEN WHOLE WINS and you have the audacity to even speak his name in the same breath as a DURAN????

And Crawford followed that excellent win with a legendary win over ATG Canelo at 168 with zero stipulations.

Awesome that's great but you still got caught trying to BS your "undefeated " champion who had a whopping TEN fights against nobodies as some "significant" win. Name ONE boxer he defeated prior to Bud that you consider "world class".

Leonard, of course. Good as Bud looked, he defeated a somewhat jaded version of a fighter who was never that special.

Again just give it up you exposed yourself.
Soro is hardly a good boxer on the WORLD scene maybe in Europe but not on the world stage.
Mag was promising and then what happened when his level of comp was raised?
He squeaked by Soro and then got beat by Israil and has not been heard from since.
Neither one of those are world class boxers on the international stage so nice try.

You just went researching them. Prime guys in the top ten are, in fact, world class. Kurbanov might’ve been top 5 but I’m not going to look it up.

Neither one were world class they were top amateurs and that was it.
The funny thing is that BOTH of them were fortunate against Soro and while Soro is good at European level that's about as far as he is going.
And no I actually know boxing unlike you who pretends to know.

Why would you rate him as less special than guys like Benitez and Hearns?

Leonard was an inch taller and both had a 74” reach. Leonard fought Hagler at 158 and LaLonde at 165, maybe Hearns a bit over 160 in rematch ….i think at 147 I give it to Ray … Bud carried the weight at 168 better at the heavier weight to me
