Been more impressed by Crawford than Spence. Spence won, but I didn't see anything impressive at all yesterday. Seemed like a scrappy win. Crawford's performances > Spence's, Thurman's, etc. That could be down to competition and it all could change when he moves up and has less physical advantages. Although Spence looks like a huge Welter so they are both big for their current division.

I tend to agree with you but it did surprise me how Spence was clearly bullied around at times by Brook yesterday. I had never seen anyone do this to Spence before. I think there is a logical explanation for it, though. Spence did not want to get caught. He was very cautious much of the fight. He turned it up as the fight went on because he did not want to leave it to the judges' cards.

Before Brook/Spence I said Brook, Spence, Thurman and Porter all beat Crawford.
Nothing changed, if anything I think Spence stops Crawford now.

Only he didnt face a more skilled boxer. I saw a ton of flaws in Brooks game. I honestly think he needs new trainers. He couldnt fight on the inside, couldnt defend on the inside, couldnt fight off the back leg, showed zero movement, was throwing all his power shots with no body behind them, when hit he`d just charge forward flailing his arms to tie up, didnt step back and catch Spence coming in when it was open all fight long. Fun fight but both fighters showed some flaws and honestly rather disappointed in both fighters. I dont see Brook as even a top 3 ww and he definitely isnt hanging with with the guys at 154lbs.
Spence showed me what i expected to see. A very talented fighter who is still a bit green and definitely has some flaws that were exposed and he was lucky that Brook didnt capitalize on them. Also hes not as big a puncher as he appeared to be as he caught brook flush several times and brook held up well. Not saying the kid has no power but its now what people seem to make it out to be. He is still a sensational body puncher though. He got hit all night with the right hand and uppercut. Even though brook was throwing arm punches he still was able to hurt Spence several times. The 1 or 2 times that Brook showed movement he left Spence swinging at air which goes into my last point and that is Spence is flat footed. He is going to get beat by guys like Thurman and Crawford. Im not sure what flIVd has left but if the floyd we saw against Berto would absolutely wreck Spence. Itd look like the Canelo fight. I still like spence and believe he could still be the man at WW but he is not going to be the next great WW. He will not dominate the sport like some here believe he will.

I think this was the case with Mayweather in sparring with Spence, and Mayweather got frustrated and kicked Spence out of his gym.

Now this is a much more sensible fight than the Golovkin match.

This would be some kind of matchup in a year or so. Crawford wouldn't have the luxury of being the bigger, stronger guy in the ring, something he's had in essentially every fight he's been in.

Terrence is a very crafty fighter who can show Errol many different looks. I just don't know how well he'd be able to take the power of a big WW. I've seen Crawford hurt by smaller men, this would be a really dangerous fight for him.

That being said, he's an uber-talented fighter and definitely has the skills to compete with Errol. It would be the best JWW against the best WW. Usually a great little man doesn't beat a great big man.

Exactly. My biggest worry with Crawford is he gets hit with big shots from time to time, he's just always had more fire power.

Crawford is a little better p4p at the moment (Spence is slightly less complete right now - very good fighter though regardless), but not enough to make up the size (and prob. power) difference in my opinion.

Spence is a huge WW who has the frame to be a reasonable-sized SWW, Crawford is a huge 140 lb'er who has the frame to be an average sized WW.

So more or less one-division of size between them, granted if it's at 147 Spence can't use all of it, but he still has half-a-division or so on Crawford.

I don't think Crawford likes Spence's power to the body, none of his previous opponents hit like that.

Golovkin > Spence (pressure + body punching + ring cutting)

Roman > Spence (pressure + ring cutting)

    Inoue > Spence (body punching)

Crawford has the tools to beat Spence and everyone at WW. He'll carry the weight over seamlessly IMO.
Spence will be the closest though. I don't think Thurman et al can cope with Bud's abilities.

I'm not sure about this fight. I think Crawford is more of a complete fighter but Spence might be too big for him. I'd put hard earned cash on Crawford if they made him the underdog though.
