Yep TBH BB is a Burns fan through and through. If anyone is a Mitchell fanatic it's guys like The Printer, Vano Irons etc.

 

I was expecting to be called a Burns fanboy if anything , but Mitchell?

Ricky is a LOT better than he has looked in his last two fights IMO the problem is the high he experienced by KOing Mitchell and he has tried to replicate that in he last two fights as oppose to his natural boxing style ala the martinez fight . We can only hope he has been humbled by the fallout from the Beltran fight and see him return to his natural style with which he will pull off a great win and silence the doubters

 

Great points, it's ok to say "Oh look at what Gonzalez and Beltran did" but Burns has beaten better fighters than that in previous defences, so he is capable of performing at a better level, he's just going through a bad patch (wasn't Beltran at one point too?)

 

Prescott had 4 losses at the time not 5 and 3 out of the 4 were controversial with the only one beating him decisively being Mitchell.

Who are you to decide how motivated Prescott was for that fight??

It looked to me like he was trying to win just as he was trying to win in the Mitchell fight.

I could say Prescott was unmotivated against Mitchell because he had just lost his undefeated record the fight before.
I could also say Prescott was highly motivated for this fight with Crawford because he was fighting a much smaller man on short notice and had just put on one of his best showings, beating the **** out of the highly regarded Alvarado until running out of gas with a minute to go in a fight he was easily winning.

I could say that, but we both know it would be bull****.

As far as I'm concerned Mitchell and Crawford BOTH did excellent jobs against the dangerous Prescott and NONE of them deserve to have their accomplishments tarnished by "he said she said" bull****...
