His best win is Viktor Postol. He's achieved quite a lot in the sport, but far less than what his purported talent would give hope for. Anything but a stoppage against Kell "Smashed Socket" Brook will be viewed as a failure. With Crawford soon exiting his prime, the question must be asked: has he wasted it? He has certainly defeated good but not great opposition in dominant fashion, but could he have done more to lure in the marquee fights? Is he a casualty of the Top Rank - PBC rift?

I'm complicated when it comes to Bud, because I'm both a big fan and a critic.

I think he's a helluva fighter, but of course I think his a career is a disappointment.

He should have signed with Al, because Arum has always put him second behind Loma.

He picked money over legacy, but his career isn't over and he still has time for a defining win.

But I can't lie or sugar coat it - his comp at 147 has been abysmal.

I think the postol win is underated .

    Postol stopped lucas

Postol gave the current future crop of 140 problems

    Ramirez and Taylor .
    Crawford dominated postol...

Hes very good . perhaps the best fighter today overall

Hopkins was far lesser dependent on athleticism than Bud is. Hopkins also had true defensive skill. SKILL.

Bud's defense is entirely dependent on his reflexes.

And oh yeah, Hopkins had a better chin by a light year.

    Bud won't age like Hopkins.

Crawford's got maybe another year, year n a half before he wont be able to able to handle Boots Ennis

He should have defended his undisputed crown at 140 rather than waste his time with pointless defenses at 147 that does nothing for him legacy wise tbh.. Imagine if it was him that took the 0’s of Prograis, Josh Taylor, Lipinets.. It was bad for his career legacy trajectory to lock in a new long term deal with top rank at 147 at the age of 31 when ALL the other top WWs are with PBC..

Its obvious he had talent but for him to be 33 and not have 1 signature win or long term domination of a division( see Wlad, GGG, Hopkins) is not a good look.. Even worse is they had him ranked #1 P4P for a while

Tbibk is these days he proba ly has about 5 years at the top left. I feel due to less fights, better nutician, better way of life, peds etc fighters can go on longer now.

I mean look at the top boxers, they usually go on till about 38-40s nowadays:

Pacquaio, Mayweather, both Klitschkos, Hopkins, Mosley, Rigondeaux, Froch, Calzaghe, Golovkin, Marquez , Kovalev as some examples of fighters going till late 30s.

Ward could have but wished to retire. Guys like Fury seem like theyve take little damage or even had all that many fights and can prob go on a fair few more years.

Think we just have to start adapting what we class as an old fighter now.

Don’t see it. Loma stands him on his head skill wise and has a better resume, Usyk has a better resume and has atg skills. Crawford hasn’t had the opposition to rank him no1 p4p.

I see it close to be honest between all 3 of them. Loma has atg skills as well. Usyk cleared out a more dominant division as well. Loma and usyk also accomplished more in less time than usyk overall . i just feel Crawford and loma skill wise are different . but they are the best we got.

Curious in your opinion between canelo and Crawford overall whos better skill wise.

If Spence and Crawford don't fight its the biggest outrage for a very long time. Nd both be viewed as duckers.

Canelo is seriously skilled, dont like how hes given special treatment, weight clauses or rehydration clauses, its a bit of a fake way of getting titles, especially the Kov fight, then theres fielding who really had no business in there with Canelo but Canelo wanted his belt, the weakest title holder at the weight. GGG fought the same level of Crawford and was ripped for it, accused of fighting cans when thats all there was, but Crawford is elevated to p4p no1 ??
