Do you know what Id love to see happen???? When you Flo Mo's start the name calling of Antonio Margarito & for you to turn around & see him stood there smiling !!!!!!!!You would do exactly what your hero Floyd did & you know it. It would be hilarious
Actually I know how it does feel. At the fights in San Antonio I got caught when the guys said
"Hey CJ was it you said Lennox Lewis could beat Mike Tyson" I answered seriously with
"If he fights him right yes he could" They laughed & said " Nice knowing you CJ now turn round" right behind me stood Mike Tyson with that scowl on his face, Scared me to death till he burst out laughing & said " You got had didn't you" He was actually a friendly funny guy & a friend of the promoter. I learned my lesson

I would agree with that. But I do wonder, head to head rankings aside, I wonder how many people actually rate Crawford much higher than Cotto legacy/greatness wise.

    Would be an interesting poll.

I respect your opinion but we disagree on the topic. Bud has too many layers to his game and he never gasses...something DLH always seemed to do. Bud has gotten stronger and more destructive as he went up in weight as evidenced by his WW record (8-0, 8 KOs) and he stopped a bunch of people who had never been stopped before including Spence, Porter, and Mean Machine.

Yes, DLH jab and hook would be an issue - they were elite punches. But Bud has demonstrated a way to hit and not get hit at the highest level.

I think Bud is kind of getting the Floyd treatment where people are being overly critical like when Floyd was active. Yet now in retirement there's a legitimate cult that hails Floyd as the GOAT. Bud is experiencing similar type of hate and he'll be appreciated a lot more in 5 years time, sadly.

For the record, Bud beats all of Mosley, DLH, and Floyd at WW. Manny could be interesting but I'd favor Bud. I like Bud over Duran, too, at WW but SRL and Hearns stop Bud.

I do, personally. Cannot imagine Cotto beating Crawford and I'd wager Bud stopped him.

But Bud resume not good although it must be mentioned that Danny Garcia and Keith Thurman shamelessly ducked Crawford. They even publicly taunted him...pathetic really. And Spence held the fight up which may have been his own undoing.

That's a good take there. I agree, DLH was inconsistent with his tank. But he's had fights against top dogs where he didn't gas early. Shane, Ike, Vargas for example.

I think it would be competitive. And I'm not one to poo poo Bud's resume or skill. He's easily one of the best boxers today. I still feel his comp is a tad suspect in terms of top fighters he's beaten. In lieu of that, it's still difficult to pick against the more accomplished boxer. Oscar could hit like a mule, had much faster hand, and had a good boxing IQ. I agree his hook would be something TC would have to be very weary of.

Bud for me has to do and especially show more against top guys for me to pick him against bonafide ATGs.

Crawford's best win (Spence) is better than Vitali's best win (I don't know exactly what it is either) IMO.

No one really rates Vitali like that. Seen idiots say Bud would beat Floyd and Manny.

It's not idiotic to think Bud would have beaten either. He has very good ring IQ, good punch selection, is smart and packs a good punch.
At the minimum, he'd have been very competitive with both.

Grow the f*ck up... And at least TRY to be serious once in a while, that way you don't just come off as the childish troll you are.

You don't think Bud could give them a good fight? Can you look at technique and skill to make an assessment, or do you just go by what boxrec tells you?
