How can Arum get crawford spence if those are not his intentions?

This man is a great talent but is retiring LESSER rated than even a Timothy Bradley. Crawford has no resume. No legacy fights.

Career has been mismanaged & he let it happen.

It's not even the fact he's not fighting Spence, He ain't fighting nobody! LOL.

 

How does that make sense when it makes all the cents in the world to make Crawford-Spence?

 

The fight will happen all Bud needs to do is accept the purse split offered. He is a fool if he thinks he gets anywhere close to 50:50. He should bite Spence’s hands off for 30%. The longer he haggles the less his purse will be.

 

It’s like watching a Cecile De Mille film in reverse turning a star into a nobody.

 

Neither of them want it, too much to lose. Lose your precious 0 and drawing power or continue collecting easy paydays against undeserving mandatory's and washed up has been's like Khan and Brook ?? Easy choice if you have no interest in legacy and care only about money.

Now if Crawford fights Ortiz Jr. I might change my opinion of him but until he takes a dangerous fight like that he makes Floyd look like Hagler.

 

I blame Crawford he knew he was moving to 147 soon and resigned with top rank when pbc has all the talent at 147. Dumb move that made it hard for the fight to be made.

 

Pbc has all the big name fighters at 147 not just Spence. He knew this and chose to resign with top rank anyway. It was a dumb move period.

Arum and Haymon have zero problem making fights together. Arum has also worked with Oscar and Hearn with no problem.

I'm not a fan of Crawford or Spence, but Spence was the one that kept making dumb statements like other side of the street and then the purse split nonsense. Crawford got tired of calling him out, so now he's saying the fight will never happen.

Arum is trying to cash out Crawford. He wants the Spence fight.

 

That's a few fights he made but what about the one's he didn't? As far as Spence he's the bigger draw here no doubt about it so he deserves the bigger share of the purse.

 

One of the big issues today with boxing is not having the best guys fight each other. The Crawford-Spence fiasco is inexplicable.
I don't care about the promoters...if those guys wanted to fight, they could both DEMAND a match. They aren't indentured servants!
It would be HUUUGE; everyone would make money. Have it in Jerry Jone's Death Star; would draw really big.

It's frankly mysterious and sad that these two don't want to fight each other. They literally DO NOT WANT TO FIGHT each other. Not even for lots and lots of money.

 

This has happened because promoters have become too good at their jobs. They have figured out how to deliver seven figure paydays against less opposition, so neither the promoter nor the fighter has to endure much risk. Everyone has gotten comfortable, and the fans (those who are left) wait in frustration for any breadcrumb of a big fight that exists.

It would get done if there were mega money in it, but there is not. Joshua/Fury is going to make a mint, but two black American fighters will not capture the attention of the American public. Long gone are the days of Hagler vs Leonard as an American sporting event. No one outside boxing fans knows who Spence or Crawford is. Mayweather's heel turn enabled him to become a crossover star, and Wilder to a lesser extent along with the benefit of being a HW, but generally these guys toil in anonymity in the U.S.

If either of them was Mexican, it might happen.

 

He Crawford has been told he can have it for 30% but he refuses to take it for 30% which is more than double his highest ever purse because he is not confident he can win.

 

The fights not going to happen spence shat it when Crawford pulled up to him years ago.the video is there for all to see.crawford is right in just flat out rejecting the fight now imo after all he's achieved much more than spence ever will and will have a legacy spence will never have.he really doesn't need him in truth.

 

Well they are making their own beds. Neither of them will ever be a superstar. They can be regional stars in Dallas and Nebraska, but they will never get national or global fame. No heart.
