Surely were you not arguing earlier that Spence offering him 30% was low balling him? The 30% will incidentally guarantee Bud $10 Million minimum possibly as much as $15 Million. Spence happy to do it on the terms offered.

The Porter fight is a pretty much nothing fight although one that would boost Buds resume

Porter is far from a nothing fight. In fact it’s a fight that Bud could potentially lose or establish his credentials as the best at 147. Beating Josepito Lopez does not put pressure on Spence at all. Bud is wasting his best years.

My point is that Spence is a bigger draw, but their not planets apart. And Crawford is the P4P #1 on many lists, but Spence isn't considered even the #3 on any lists, so that balances it out even more.

In their first face to face encounter, I saw Spence as being very nervous. He was stuttering, stalling, and he even lost his temper. Bud on the other hand, was cool as a cucumber and trolling him. Spence is definitely afraid of Bud.

 

If he absolutely destroys Porter stops him which Garcia, Prime Kell Brook, Spence and Thurman could not do we would all have to say Bud is the man at 147. Fighting the guys he has at 147 does not tell us anything.

 

Sorry that video don’t mean ****. I saw 2 extremely confident guys. You don’t win points for stare downs and videos. Macho points don’t mean ****. Unfortunately being pound for pound number 1 does not make you a box office only the numbers show if you are a box office which Spence clearly is and Bud is not. Spence put close to 50,000 at Cowboys stadium against Mickey Garcia. My point is in the circumstances Bud should accept the 30% split which would still bring him more than double and close to treble the highest money he has ever made.

It's not that I say so, Mr. Roti. It's what actually transpired.

 

Crawford is one of the smartest men on the planet inside the ring.

However outside the ring, he has made many questionable, weird decisions. He resigned with Arum knowing that Arum has publicly humiliated him by complaining about how much money he has lost promoting Crawford and getting little to no profit. When Crawford asked for the Pacquiao fight, both Freddie Roach and Arum seemed completely disinterested and did not want to make the fight. That was SIX years ago and Pacquiao has repeatedly turned Crawford down yet Crawford continues to try and get Pacuiao's attention like a dude constantly hitting on the same girl and not taking the hint that she doesnt like him.

Porter became Crawford's mandatory and Arum pretended like 1 million was all he was worth and Crawford has this attitude like Porter is beneath him. Yet Porter has made more than that previously and they paid Amir "glass jaw" Khan $5 million. Very inconsistent behavior.

Now as for Spence, that is a legacy fight. Spence deserves 60% because he has 2 belts, a way better resume at 147, and is a bigger draw. Crawford's accomplishments below 147 are not enough to justify his mentality that he deserves 50/50--especially because he doesn't have the big names on his resume. Khan and Brook were washed up when he fought them. Gamboa is, well, everyone and their mom has beaten him. He has Indongo, Postol, and Jeff Horn...whoop de doo.

Crawford is doing himself a disservice and he's going to end up old, bitter, and with a terrible legacy and not much money to show for his long career. He doesn't realize Mayweather paid his dues giving into Oscar's demands so that he could become "Money" Mayweather and the new big A side of boxing. Canelo had to defer to Cotto and now everyone has to defer to Canelo. Spence is THE guy at 147, point blank period--especially if he beats Ugas and gets 3 belts. Crawford already doesn't have a let to stand on but that would be the nail in the coffin. If you want to fight the big man in a division you are going to have to take a pay cut.

Or Crawford could build his name up by actually fighting some of the other 147 guys. Stop chasing a payday with old man Pacquiao who doesn't even have a belt, it's pathetic at this point. Porter is his mandatory anyway, just get the damn fight over with if the Spence fight isn't available. Or fight Thurman, he's doing literally nothing. A win over either of them (or both) would do him wonders.

 

I think it would be the measuring stick as no one has had it easy with Porter win or lose.
