Díaz shells up as Crawford pumps the quick double right jab at him from the jump. Crawford looking sharp, reaching over the gloves of Díaz with the right jab and swaying out to dodge a Díaz counter right hook leaping up from a half-crouch. Díaz is kept shy offensively as Crawford just circles to his right and doubles the jab into the forehead. Díaz is sitting back, taking jabs on the pinky edge of his gloves & wrists, and further blocking an exploratory Crawford left uppercut tossed in from mid-range. Clinch & spin. Crawford is controlling the distance, keeping his chin just out of reach of Díaz's right jab while painting Díaz's face with his own. Díaz shoots in, trying to trap Crawford on the ropes and explode out of a crouch with a combo, but Crawford sidles off toward center ring and lands a couple of flush counter jabs on the gob.
