The Gamboa fight is still one of my favorite as I was literally screaming "Noooooo" when Bud would switch up his stance as I did not see that working but I was wrong again.

I expect Bud to AGAIN shock the world by getting past this test, and it is a nice test, with a wide UD if not a late TKO in the the 9th.

    Good fight

The problem with Felix Diaz is he lacks power. Crawford will land the harder cleaner punches and it'll overshadow the work that Felix puts in. The problem is that people may discount the good work Diaz did put in for a good proportion of each rounds because they overvalue cleaner punches (they are the most important but we should be careful not to completely overvalue them).

This isn't going to be a fight. Once Crawford has a guy who can't hurt him in front of him he's dead meat. Hell you can hurt Crawford and they are still dead meat.

After this fight I'd like to see Crawford move up he's not going to get to fight Broner who's the only other guy there who would bring money so he should move up to WW.

In the current boxing meta where guys tend to avoid challenges rather than seek them, sadly, you're probably right. Although, who knows? If they each become big enough draws, I could see it happening.

I don't know how convinced I am of that. Boxrec has them at 5' 8" and 5' 7" respectively.

Miguel Cotto is listed at 5' 7", Pac at 5' 5.5", Floyd at 5' 8", JMM at 5' 7", Mosely at 5' 8.5", Tim Bradley at 5' 6"... it goes on and on. I'll bet you put all of them in a room, pick any two and it wouldn't look like Pac vs Margarito, Floyd vs Corrales, Lewis vs Holyfield, Duran vs Hagler, etc...you get my point.

Now sitting here looking at what I just typed, they are plenty close enough in size especially considering how good they both are.

Crawford should make easy work of this dude. He will probably fight the entire fight as a southpaw. Throwing Diaz's biggest asset away.

Height is not how you measure a fighter's size. Crawford's frame is huge, he has a welterweight frame. I thought Gamboa fighting at Lightweight was bad because Gamboa had a tiny frame despite being only a few pounds lighter than Crawford on fight night - Crawford looked massive.

Lomachenko is a smaller 130lber, he was a good sized 126lber. I didn't even want him to fight at 130lbs yet for this reason. I envisioned him going for an ambitious fight against a mediocre title holder at 140 at most at the end of his career. You have to consider he's 28 years old.

    Yeah. I'm not convinced.

The reason this matchup even occurred to me is because when I'm watching him fight (thus far, anyway) Loma always looks bigger to me than his opponents and I'm thinking "damn this guy is ****ing badass! Who else could he fight? Who could test him?".

I suppose it depends on what level of greatness dude aspires to. Did you read the bottom part of my post #41 where I replied to Pimp C? What names does he want to be mentioned among?

Oh and before anybody starts in with "muh racism/muh murricans" or other such stupidities, would love to see Crawford vs Kell Brook/Keith Thurman/etc. at some point as well.

Not convinced about what? Size is not height in boxing. Lomachenko looked naturally smaller than Roman Martinez. I'd say Lomachenko is a natural 128lber if that makes sense. Laughably smaller than Salido. Lomachenko sometimes weighed 129-137 at fight night. He only moved up from FW to LW in amateurs because they eradicated FW and he was tiny at LW which at Olympics and WSB was 132lbs.

I didn't read, but one name that suits Pimp C is 'Demographic'.
