    But, then again, this just may come down to him being a really good and mobile defender- and being better than anyone really had any reason to expect.

    I think he causes some other guys a few problems in subsequent fights.

    Silva has a nice varied defense. Verdejo is finding it difficult to land consistently with Silva's to-and-fro quick-steps and keeping his right hand up by his chin to slide out and deflect shots...and Silva is tagging him with some counters. Verdejo faster and more active, though.

    There is no Brazilian (or UFC fighter period) as good on their feet or with the punch-placement or stand-up defense as Silva has looked here.
