He looked very good against the lower tier fighters when he was on Solo Boxeo, but struggled quite noticeably when his comp was stepped up. I like him, but Bud by KO is almost a sure thing. And if I remember correctly, I think he got a gift vs Herrera.

Yeah, I don't know his background & haven't seen him against higher level comp.

Sometimes you see a guy & think straight off the bat he has what it takes.

That's what I thought when I saw Benavidez.

This is his second fight at WW and he's facing another undefeated fighter whose no chump. Let him take his time getting used to the weight before facing Spence, Thurman, Porter, Garcia, etc. He's gonna fight them at some point.

Actually... Herrera got robbed in that one too.:deal: Herrera won that 8-4, the best Benavidez deserved was a draw. That being said, Benavidez isn't a bad opponent and his size and length could give Crawford some serious problems.

I've hyped up Benavidez for several years. A shame his accident/shooting happened and held him back. Then add on bad hands. The first fight I saw of him he landed 2 bodyshots, not sure which caved the dude in, but he was done.

Cards stacked against him. Crawford is talented, gaining skill, poised, can fight or box.

Internet friend of mine has ref'd a few fights of JoseB, says he is a genuine nice young man. So I am rooting for Jose Benavidez. Nothing logical about my pick, just backing mines from the cradle to the grave. This fight shouldn't ruin him, nor blacklist him should he lose, let alone by shut out.

Good fight, probably will be something like Loma-Linares. Just as Loma picked up steam, he got caught & dropped, but adjusted and carried on with biznezz. Same here, I suspect somewhere in this match, Jose will chin check Bud, Bud will adjust.
