Not really.. shane had the power to keep marg honest and EVENTUALLY hurt him.

Crawfords win would require alot more patience and tenacity to keep dictate the style and pace of the fight. I think crawford is def good enough to do it and get the win, but the fight would look nothing like the mosley fight

 

This. We are saying PRIME FOR PRIME and crawfords first fight at 147 (although impressive) physically cannot be considered his prime for that weight. He needs to settle into the division and grow a little more perhaps, im not sure about crawfords weight history but id be willing to bet he moved up to 147 because he ran 140 dry and saw some easy titles in the horn fight (which will obviously lead into other big names in the stacked 147 division)

Ive always said it Tony was having back spasms as well as a dose of the flu. He hadn't been able to complete his sparring was overweight & had to boil it off. He was weak as a kitten compared to how he normally was. Then he was greeted by that evil POS Richardson's blatant lies about "PLASTER BLOCKS" which the CSAC jumped on before thinking straight. The final lab tests proved his wraps were totally harmless. No sign of plaster whatsoever
To cap it all he was then faced by a juiced to the hills AGAIN!! Mosely. Just check his fights before & after this fight Hell against Floyd where he had to be clean he was gassed by round 3 Against Mora he was pathetic
Richardson should have been quizzed as to where those " Plaster blocks" disappeared to But who is going to do that ?? The CSAC ?? I get it but I believe Crawford will end being as good or better than Shane and Shane is one of my 10 favorite fighters of all time.

 

Respectfully disagree that Shane is twice the boxer Crawford is. Shane could be outboxed. That hasn’t been done against Crawford yet.

 

Paul Williams legitimately beat Margarito in a very close fight so kudos to him BUT I was there when Tony's team asked for a rematch due to it being a close fight.
Goosen laughed & said " Margarito is in our past not our future we don't need him again" We asked him "Why not Are you scared Margarito would beat him" He laughed Y said " Think whatever you want we are not fighting Margarito again" That was proof why ony wasn't getting a rematch he wasn't confident Paul could beat him again

 

Gamboa was outboxing Crawford until his inactivity gassed him out. He completely neutralized Crawford's jab with his own jab by timing Crawford. Crawford has a monstrous 74" reach and couldn't do much with it.

Crawford also got away with lots of double arm pushing and even pushing Gamboa down to the canvas while Gambia fought him clean. If Crawdord was such a master boxer why all the dirty tactics against an inactive fighter? Even Crawford's coach admitted he wanted Crawford to get dirty, since Crawford was eating Gamboa's jab too much.

Gamboa also exposed that Crawford sucks as a southpaw. He had to go back to conventional to keep from eating Gamboa's counters to the body.

Also, Crawford's competition is levels below Shane's. Shane could be outboxed, but only by the best of the best. Besides Gamboa Crawford hasn't fought any boxers with elite skill level.

 

Yea, true that. These fighters today love to talk a lot of **** but don't do any fighting to prove it. Hell, where is Thurman?

 

Mosley was on steroids, EPO, HGH and other PEDs when he fought Margarito.
