Inspired by the Mayweather vs Marciano thread. Crawford was 169 vs Madrimov. Could that version take Rocky? Or alternatively the version the fought Spence/Alvarez. There would be less than 20 pound difference in weight.
Well, we can use Canelo, a bigger, harder hitting, more technical version of Marciano, as a barometer.
Marciano is too powerful with a high workrate. You wouldn't favor Crawford over Joe Smith Jr and he's not more skilled than Marciano
When I was a boy my mama told me Bud was gonna be undefeated for a long, long time to come and he is STILL undefeated. But Rocky is still since then too...makes you think...
Even if he beats Canelo, Rocky is a bridge too far for Bud. Rocky is naturally larger than Canelo by a good 20 lbs, and has significantly better stamina and raw power. I think it could end up resembling the Taylor vs Chavez fight, with Bud taking a decent early lead with his speed and technique while Rocky breaks him down methodically with his high volume/body shots etc. The finish would come much sooner tho, probably around round 4-5. Rocky simply batters Bud hitting his arms, shoulders, ribs, neck, cheek, etc causing ungodly damage until the towel is thrown or Bud collapses.
Odd obsession on this forum with wishing to humiliate an amazing champion. Mostly from racist scumbags.
LOL.. Marciano would flatten him.. take Crawford back to the pre PED, 6oz glove same day weigh in era... hed get hit harder, have less opportunity to weight grift & no Victor Conte to help his 'dietary' needs.. Forget Marciano.. he wouldn't get passed Zale, SRR or Lamotta.. the MWs of that era .. let alone the Rock
