Porter will chase head first throwing hooks and will get countered and eventually possibly stopped.

Crawford battered Jeff Horn who tried to impose himself physically on Crawford to no avail.

Porter's plan b is the same as his plan a. His dad has kept his boxing game at the same level and he could have evolved into a more intelligent fighter under a different coach. Porter still has no idea what to do other than use brute force to evade a counter punch.

If Crawford is on his game i think he'll stop Porter within 9 rounds.

I don't think Porter has truly evolved as a fighter and i believe the problem lies with his dad as his coach. He's fought the same way in all of his fights which is to come forward and try to brute force his way in exchanges to attempt to hurt his opponent instead of actually learning how to work behind a jab and to learn some basic fundamentals of the game.

The thing is with Porter i believe he could have legitimately beaten Thurman and Spence if he became a bit more refined and found a coach who would teach him to work on some basic fundamentals and to improve his ring IQ. I think in his case in particular you could have taught him some new tricks if he had found a new coach.

Shawn Porter is easier to work out and his gameplan is more obvious than boxers i rate higher than him like Pacquiao, Thurman, Crawford and Spence.

Porter might give you a rough n' tough time as he wants to try to out strength you and use brute force but he doesn't truly change up or tweak his game enough. He gives fighters looks and they can know what he's going to bring.

I can agree with some of this, I do also think that Porter will have to pay a hefty price to get into Crawford's chest. I do also think Porter gets picked apart from mid range and especially long range. But he's shown over time the ability to pretty much get into this range with everyone. As for stopping Porter, I simply feel that ain't an option for Crawford, not impossible (all is possible in boxing), but so inconceivable given Porter's history of durability, I wouldn't give that a second thought.

You see where I said if he loses then perception will be that he was always overrated. And he can lose this fight.

Crawford should win, based on his skills, ability to switch-hit and great timing and counters.

However, still to this day, no one has remotely dominated Shawn, IMO he's a bit like Bernard Hopkins in that regardless of who he faces, they end getting dragged into his kind of fight.

This is why I think it's a great fight for Crawford to really cement that step up - whilst Brook, Thurman, and Spence all beat Porter, they were all very close fights with many folks saying Porter was lucky to lose the decision; more so Brook and Spence (of course it balances out as Porter was maybe fortunate to get the nod against Ugas).

Anyway, if Crawford can show he can dominate Porter, fight his fight and win clear (especially bv KO/TKO), then he backs up his P4P and 147 top dog status, as no one has done that to Porter - not even close to it.

On the flip-side, Porter has the dog and style in him to really push Crawford and give the gut and chin-check that he's not really had to endure as yet (maybe because he is that much of a step above?)

This fight answers a ton of those questions for me - one way or another.

Porter better box like he did vs danny g or he gets stopped. Styles make fights. That porter aggression is tailormade for crawford.
