Gamboa round, 2-1 up for me

Gamboa taking the **** with that hand speed and his footwork has been exceptional.

    Gamboa class

But he is chinny so let's see if he can take a punch flush from the bigger Crawford

Gamboa's fighting a perfect fight at range. Really good stuff. The question's going to be hanging in the air all night though....is it enough to win on the road against the hometown guy with better connections?

    Round 1

Jabs over the head by Crawford, one buzzing Gamboa atop the head, affecting his balance. Quick jabs on the body by Gamboa. Movement to the right and 1-2s up top by Gamboa. Counter jabs by Crawford.

    10-9 Crawford

    Round 2

Gamboa is darting in and scoring with fast straight punches. Crawford is trying to time him with the jab but can't get a bead on Gamboa.

    10-9 Gamboa

    19-19

    Round 3

Gamboa is throwing overhand rights from outside, dropping his face down and to his left. Quick up-jabs by Gamboa, keeping Crawford turning. Gamboa wipes Crawford's jab from the air when it comes.

    10-9 Gamboa

    29-28 Gamboa

I didn't like Crawford's skills better, but he's a really big lightweight with pop. I picked him by KO assuming he'll catch Gamboa later. Gamboa having early success isn't surprising to me.
