B O O M ! You probaby had Gamboa winning all the rounds like many idiots on this board. What fight were you newbs watching? It was clear Crawford was pacing this scrub. You wouldn't think Crawford was the favorite by all the idiots on this board, including you :rofl

No, Crawford is not the king of 135.
He wasn't the king back when Max Kellerman said he is the man at LW, and he's not the king after this win either. It was a good win for him.
Vazquez is still The Man at 135.
Ray Beltran would push Crawford to the edge.

It is more annoying to thank Haymon first

I cant get over how stupid Gamboa was fighting.

He had to be fighting that way because he thought it was his best chance for a decision, or obviously if he could get a KO.

But maybe he figured he just had to go for broke.... kill or be killed, to get the W.

Had he continued how he was fighting in the first 4 he probably goes on to lose a controversial decision, even if he would have deserved the nod.

But even at his best, I think Crawford was always going to control the 2nd half of the fight, as Gamboa comes unglued and Crawford ups the pressure. So even if he stays disciplined, its no sure thing. Which maybe they knew, and decided to just go for the kill early.

    Idk

Probably. I think he underestimated Crawford. Must be an elitist thing? But then when the chips were down, Gamboa didn't have a backup plan.

gamboa had the skill to win the fight but not the brains. good show by crawford. surprised me. i didn't like the stoppage though. wait till gamboa gets up and see how he looks. crawford had been hurt himself not long before that.

That's what we know about Gamboa, though.

He blows his wad quick. Against a solid guy with stamina, especially up at LW as evident by Gamboa's Farenas/Perez fights, Gamboa's defense gets beyond leaky as the fight goes on and head/foot movement slows. And, unless you've been in denial, Gamboa has a poor chin given his reputation/rating and Crawford is good at picking his shots utilizing leverage.

Gamboa made the fight, but he was fighting like a ******. I said Crawford Ko's him if he gets reckless and runs into something, well he ran into something over and over and over.

Don't make me go dig up my prediction about this fight. I actually predicted Crawford by size for the victory the moment the fight was signed. It doesn't mean I'm bragging about it like you seemingly are, as if it was some big accomplishment to pick him over the guy moving up in weight, highly inactive, caught in a peds scandal and coming off three lackluster fights in a row.

Crawford has had the better wins, more impressive.

He is the best at 35, he would beat MV

I think he would have. He was throwing some serious bombs, laden with venom.

I thought it was fine. Let him stand up, sure. But 4 KD's? Those last 2 were hard and he was eating it hard those last few rounds.

Crawford is better than Vazquez, I'll say that much. He's the guy people thought Broner was, only 1000 times more likeable. Gamboa will be back, he's too physically gifted not to, hopefully at a more suitable weight class.

I'm not saying he can't beat Vazquez or anybody else @135.
There's one good way to settle it, but they probably won't face each other, especially now that Vazquez signed with Haymon.
