Tuesday morning at Korakuen Hall. WBO Asia Pacific super bantamweight title on the line, first defense of Doheny after the Aussie claimed it back in June in the same venue.

I've seen TJ but the challeneger is a complete unknown to me. He's apparently of FIlipino stock but was born in the US, and currently lives and trains in Japan where he is a sparring partner of Naoya Inoue. 11-0 with four kayos in the pros so far, and seems to have fought reasonably well in the amateurs in domestic tourneys up and down the West Coast. Most recently he upset southpaw veteran and former IBF world titlist Ryosuke Iwasa. Victory here could very plausibly see him enter the WBO junior featherweight top 15 - where Doheny is himself currently ranked #4 - and put him close to a mandatory position to face his own sparring partner, The Monster!

I was fully planning on responding to this thread yesterday, but got distracted and forgot.

Anyway, I was going to say this is too much, way too soon for Llamido, especially considering southpaw Doheny usually feasts on southpaws. While I didn't vote, in Kirk's I picked Doheny by KO.

Well.... Doheny just won by TKO1.:D

Straight left hand lead feint, right jab, and overhand left is a pretty goddamn basic combo to not see coming. :shakehead:

Particularly when you are yourself a southpaw! :cursing2:
