I rank Usyk,Canelo and Loma as well don't get me wrong they are all talented top tier p4p. Its all very close. However i feel Crawford is the most complete fighter we have today Crawford has speed , power , counter punching , great defense . he's not the perfect fighter but he is almost the complete package.

Critics say he has nobody . well i ask to the critics maybe Crawford makes them ( his opposition ) look like nobodies.

Jeff Horn : He was WBO champion and had given pac a rough fight . Crawford dominated Horn with ease . horn was undefeated at the time. Crawford took his 0

Yuriorkis Gamboa : top fighter was undefeated and one of the best at 135 at the time . former flyweight gold medalist . Gamboa made it competitive until Crawford finished him off .and stopped him . even today's top 135 pounders struggle with the older past prime Gamboa
( Tank) Crawford also took his 0

Viktor Postol : stopped lucas unified with Crawford . the best of 140 today struggled with Postol. Postol gave Ramirez and Taylor close fights. Meanwhile Crawford dominated Postol and even dropped him. Danny Garcia also ducked Postol who was his mandatory. Crawford dominated Postol and took his -0 as well

Felix Diaz : gold medalist an an amateur gave Lamont Peterson a different fight went the distance with Peterson. However it was a different story with Crawford who stopped Diaz the Olympic Gold medalist in 11.

With all this said. Loma , Canelo and Usyk are all top p4p guys , No doubt . however i feel Crawford has dominated his opposition like others have not . the opponents others struggle with Pac with Horn , Davis with Gamboa
Garcia ducks Postol and Postol gives Taylor and Ramirez close fights .

Those guys. Crawford dominated them and made it look easy . is Crawford fighting nobodies ? Or does he make them look like nobodies .?

Feel free to correct me on anything I've written is wrong.

I can change your mind, if it's open. Is it?

Right, so, Crawford may have some nice wins and you can dress them up quite well. However, only one of those fighters (two at a push) holds up when you look past what their flimsy on-paper achievements and see whether or not they're elite on canvas.

That's Postol, and arguably LW Gamboa. There's no undressing Postol's win over Lucas and there's no denying he's a very good fighter. I thought he just drew with Ramirez, although I didn't think he did too well vs Taylor. I had that 9-3 for TTT. Gamboa was an elite featherweight IMO, but nowhere near at lightweight. He's too small for the division, and he was already chinny at 126, let alone 135. Not to mention that Crawford rehydrated like 25lbs.

Skillwise there's no denying how good Crawford is. He's low paced, and he can keep a fight that way. He can do basically everything on the back foot out of both stances. Good footwork, responsible defence, good jab, nice sharp counters and just an all-round good stylist. But he has a crucial weakness which a lot of counter-punchers fall to. He can't create reliable offence. Look vs Mean Machine. He just wasn't comfortable walking someone down. And let's not act like Mean Machine is a win to write home about. Thing is, since 2017, his competition level has been completely abysmal. Embarrassingly bad. For someone with one elite win, not have an elite achievement in 3 years, and arguably not be the best in his division, P4P #1 seems awfully high.

Then, compare him to say, Usyk. Both have been undisputed, but Usyk did it in a deeper division. Usyk has better résumé and skillset, and he did all of it in a lesser amount of time and pro fights. Sure, Usyk hasn't done much since 2018 himself, but he's been hampered by unreliable opponents and injuries, he hasn't just been facing bums because he wants to.

So basically, if you like skilled and talented fighters there's better, and if you like résumé and achievements there's better. Likewise for a mix of both.

Actually, I'd go with Spence > Crawford. Spence's wins over Porter, Brook & Garcia are better than any Crawford wins. Spence continues to fight elite fighters near the top of his division, whereas Crawford is looking for shot fighters who need to drain down a weight.

And I'm pretty sure everyone would agree that Spence vs Crawford is a 50/50 or close to it.

Terence Crawford lives in a cage under Bob Arum's desk

He has no career defining wins

He is 2 fights away from being a bum city dosser.

Another over the hill British fighter for his next fight.

I must be missing something with Crawford... He reminds me of ward in the way that he never does anything to wow me n make me think... Damn.. This guy is pound for pound King..... I don't see anything that stands out as spectacular... Not yet anyway.. Time to change that with the right fights... His resume is wafer thin

Dunno who I'd have as p4p number one to be fair.... Loma, usyk or inoue.... Alvarez has the best resume by light years but I can't give him the slot because I feel he should have more losses than he has.

Crawford may be the goods but he needs to prove it... Spence if he isn't done, pacman, maybe go upto 154....hes not getting any younger

And struggling with an old chinny midget in Gamboa says alot.... Same with gervonta

When your best win by a country mile is Postol and your second-best by two country miles is an undersized Gamboa, you are a bum hunter, plain and simple.

As talented as he looks he just doesn't hold the resume to rank above Usyk, Canelo, Loma and Inoue. They look equally as talented, and have looked it against much better opponents.

He and Spence should be kicked off the pfp list until they fight each other. It’s disgraceful they have both avoided top opponents. At least Spence fought Porter. I don’t know what Crawford is thinking. Usyk cleaned out cruiser and didn’t duck anyone. Crawford has ducked EVERYONE.

You make solid points and no one doubts Bud’s talent and achievements however the level of competition he has faced at 147 to date is not top draw. At the moment you have to give it to Canelo.

It’s too bad Arum won’t let us see how good Crawford actually is. However, Spence didn’t seem that anxious to get into the ring with Crawford, even before his accident.

I find it interesting that Arum was willing to sacrifice Lomachenko to Pacquiao, but not risk Crawford. Maybe because Lomachenko was foreign and Crawford is American and undefeated.
