It wasn't just the speed of Gamboa, Gamboa was landing at will, even if they were combinations.

This was clearly a case of size advantage taking control of the style matchup.

Here was me thinking that 'most every positive moment Crawford had came as the result of Gamboa not moving his head after throwing a combo and getting bombed on the chin with hooks and upper cuts.

Crawford didn't win the fight by opening Gamboa up with jabs. He won the fight by taking what Gamboa had to throw and jumping on his mistakes with better, harder punches.

Crawford won the fight because he hits harder and has a better chin. Not because of his jab or his reach.

 

Yeah Gamboa did land on Crawford, but TO ME that says more about Gamboa's offense than Crawford's poor defense. Gamboa's is one quick mofo and he has brilliant timing.
