Gamboa should have been in featherweight for longer, and super featherweight and ruled the roost there, and 135lbs should have been seen as an extended, ambitious move.

For the people that feel once he faces a power puncher really need to take in consideration the degree of difficulty it takes to look good against someone with that type of speed do you realize speed is very hard to look good against no matter if the boxer with speed is reckless

for example the first two rounds in the Khan Garcia fight, Garcia looked real bad, what about the first four rounds against Mayweather and Zab, Froch did not look all that good against Dirrell in that fight its normal and it happens

If Crawford faces someone like Lucas (you guys are starting to overrate him yet AGAIN) did it ever come across to you that maybe Lucas does not hit as fast to land the shots that Gamboa did styles make fights its something to think about

-invest in some supplement that can extend human height way past peak growth rates
-put on some more weight after the weigh in
-fight in a smaller division

 

Gamboa was less than ten pounds difference. Let's not run away with the size difference because Gamboa is stubby. Crawford dropped the early rounds but he made great adjustments to what was failing and was the smarter fighter in the end.
