Haha it was only a matter of time until the racists came out. They pretended long enough to only hate Floyd, and Ward, but the truth is they despise Spence and Crawford just as much.

    Haha!

Not by me. I just don't see that much elite talent at 168 lb, who am I missing?

I'd honestly favour Spence against Hurd or Jermell, but who knows. I think he can outbox both of them. I also think that Brook could move up and do well too.

We shall see! I honestly don't see him beating Jacobs or Golovkin in the next year, anyone could beat the BJS of the last fight though. Going back to the original topic, how do you think TC does at 147 lb against the top guys there?

Exactly! Don't forget about Wilder and Joshua to. I can't wait to hear what they think about the Charlo twins.

I can understand why Wilder gets hate, and Joshua isn't American so he's not really relevant. It's just funny to me how white Americans claim to hate Floyd, and Ward because they're "boring", yet these same people love Wlad. Then when guys who gets stoppages like Crawford, and Spence come along they hate them too. They always find a reason to criticize. These are the same guys that will have an absolute fit if you criticize GGG, Kovalev, or Loma. It's like these guys think that EE are their own people. Imagine if Russia's top swimmers were black(yes a far stretch, but let's just use this hypothetical story), and the majority of white Russian population decided to turn their backs on them during the olympics, and start to cheer for Phelps and try to claim him as one of their own :risas3:. I just highly doubt EE would stoop that low.

    Excellent Post!
I couldn't agree more. It's sad when you think about it most American boxing fans don't cheer for their own and would rather cheer for something foreign because they're not the right skin color. That's why I say UK fight fans are the best they usually get behind their fighters regardless of color.

TC would beat almost everybody but Spence and maybe Thurman and Brook. I don't include Pacman as I don't see the fight happening but Pacman is still very good and on resume is still no1 welterweight but not h2h IMO.
I don't like Brook but he's still clearly right up there near the best @ 147 and think he would give Bud all sorts of troubles with his size and strength.

Garcia is too low out put to beat Bud, and I can't see him KOing him which would be his only chance.

I actually think Bud has more chance against Thurman than Brook because of styles.

Mostly every fighter rehydrates ten or more pounds. You are using rehydrated weights as a measuring stick for what a fighter should fight but you don't take into consideration that the fighters now fighting at that weight will also rehydrate. If that formula fits Crawford then it for sure fits Loma as well. Crawford has stated his intentions are to consolidate at 140 and move to 147 so why you hating.

Indeed the UK fans don't care about colour, nor even about how good their fighter is, they'll get behind their fighter as long as he doesn't act too outrageously.

But is it really true that most American boxing fans don't cheer for their own? And if so, why? Clearly there are racists, especially on here, but in my (admittedly limited with regards to the USA) experience a lot of it is due to not wanting to be "nationalist" and therefore "xenophobic", a sort of philosophy which can lead to loathing of one's own country, culture, and people. Others just don't care about nationality full stop and choose based on behaviour, style, looks, etc., which is also a consistent viewpoint.

I'm interested to hear your perspective on this, and also other members of forum. What determines who you support?

For what it's worth, I am reasonably patriotic and thus support my country's (NZ) fighters; however, there are few at the top level (1 right now), so I'm free to choose who I support on other personal criteria, which for me is:
    - unfulfilled talent (if I think they have the talent to achieve far more than they have done so far)
    - respectable behaviour/personality inside and outside the ring (personally I'm not a fan of trash-talking, although I realize that it goes with boxing)
    - willing to take on challenges
    - underrated in general
    - exciting style is a bonus

Good post, and that's also very similar to how I see it.

Dumbest fight break down ever. You'd probably never even heard of Postol until he beat Matthysse, you can't even spell his name but you have the nerves to claim he was past it against Crawford? GTFO.

And It was Postol who was reluctant to let his hands go that night, he was the one backing up late in the fight despite being behind on the scorecards. He was throughly outclassed and made to look like an amateur.

Other than Gamboa, who are all these fighters that he is so much bigger than at 140?

I expected nothing less from Crawford. He always seemed dumb to me, like when him and his boys took his car back from theat mechanic in Omaha and did not pay him for all the detailing he performed on Crawfords vehicle and they also destroyed garage property.

Crawford seems like a thug and a bigot to me.
