solid analysis, but i disagree with your statement about why GGG isn't P4P--ie, the a legitimate P4P should do better than

eke out a debatable win and look pretty vulnerable against Danny Jacobs
it was a UD, let's not forget; Mayweather, for instance has an entire career full of those--probably more UDs than stoppages (few wins via SD and MD, as well).

The individual scoring was close, but that's home cooking--big style. Just look at the 12th round, GGG threw more punches and landed far more, while Jacobs clinched every chance he had, then collapsed on the ropes when the final bell rang--and still 2 out of 3 judges gave round 12 to Jacobs!

Jacobs is the No 2 MW in the world. he went 12 rounds with GGG and never hurt him--not once. On the other hand, GGG knocked Jacobs down in the 4th and (i believe) hurt him in the 9th. GGG knocked Jacobs down; he was clearly the aggressor, he was busier and more efficient than Jacobs: he threw more punches, landed more punches, and he landed a higher percentage of the punches he threw.

Jacobs just performed so far beyond expectations that it's tempting to over-rate his performance.

Wouldn't exactly call it a diss, he wasn't disrespectful at all. You can agree or disagree but it didn't sound malicious at all

I didn't say I thought Jacobs was robbed. On rewatching and scoring I thought Golovkin won by a point. Yes he was more efficient than Jacobs, and he wasn't just chasing Jacobs, he was on his front foot but outboxed him with the sharper jab and shorter punches. But the fact remains it was a close fight, and Jacobs really troubled Golovkin for much of the bout. He controlled several rounds and the middle of the fight with basic lateral movement, and beginning and finishing exchanges. GGG didn't dominate. Not like Floyd, Rigo, Loma, Crawford, and Inoue dominate. Golovkin's really good, maybe the best offensive fighter out there, but he's beatable, and in my opinion simply outside the top 5 p4p.

I just can't rank Crawford in the top 3.

The issue with him is that I just don't think he beats any of the well thought-of guys at 147. A fight with Garcia is big, but he's a guy who has come up from 126. Same with Loma.

Crawford is LINEAL in TWO divisions. Exactly how many LINEAL titles has the Triple Gift won?

    Crawford > Triple Gift
