Gamboa was undefeated and an Olympic Champ (Out in the 9th rd) Beltran was shut out against Crawford, Postal undefeated and never knocked down (Down twice and manhandled by Crawford) Diaz Olympic Champion and never stopped (Out in 10 and it should have been earlier last night) Sometimes great fighters just make the competition look ordinary.

Crawford is already lineal at LWW after beating Postol. If he beats Indongo he'll be undisputed.

Crawford did look very good , but Diaz in all honesty is tailor made for him.33 years old with 20 fights and only 9 KO's.

Pete rademacher was Olympic champ, David Reid, Zhou shiming and many others, not all Olympic champs translate to good pros. Gamboa moved up in weight and was tiny and Diaz isn't all that impressive. Nah I don't think Crawford is making competition look ordinary I just think the competition at 140 isn't that great. Now that's not to knock Crawford who has skills and the demeanor to go far but I'm not pumping up guys like Diaz, and Gamboa. Postol looked good against Mattysse but styles make fights he wasn't going to beat Crawford. Crawford will beat indongo too, who I don't think is that great either, 147 is where the action is.

Really good original post. Crawford is complete, and always wins without dispute and dominates.

I will admit now I've been simply wrong for a while keeping Inoue above Crawford. Inoue has unreal speed and reflexes and good power, but Crawford's better and much more complete, the better ring thinker, just knows how to figure out any boxer... and take his soul.

The top 5 are a notch above the rest. I do call Loma number 1, Rigo next but we really have to see how good he looks next fight and if he still has it, then yeah it's Crawford. Then Ward, then Kovalev a sliver behind. All due props to Inoue and Mikey Garcia who are my next top p4p, but those 5 just operate at the highest level.

Garcia vacated his titles so how is Crawford the lineal JWW champion? Crawford Indongo will be for the lineal JWW title of the world.

Yesterday wasn't about winning Gold, age or being tailormade. Yesterday was about how Bud showed dominance. He showed it all. Many were curious to see how Bud does against this dude. Now Diaz is being criticized and compared to Shiming.

Because Postol and Crawford were the top JWW's in the world when they fought, thus creating a new lineage? Garcia vacated his belts in 2015, Crawford and Postol fought in 2016.

I have a strong feeling that Spence's coming out party is going to happen next weekend. If Crawford wants the title of best fighter in the world, beat Spence at 147 and I don't think many people would argue than.

That's right and Garcia's last fight at 140 was vs Herrera in March of 2014, where he struggled to make the weight and his performance was apparently affected by it. At that point it was apparent that he would not be able to make 140 any longer, so he was moving up to fight at WW, so the lineal title was eventually vacated and a new lineage was started with Crawford vs Postol, the #1 vs #2 of the division.

If Brook doesn't come out looking like a skeleton then it could be a tough fight for both guys.

Good post and I agree, I'm finally on the Crawford bandwagon, I thought Diaz would test him, well I couldn't have been more wrong.

Although I will disagree with you on one thing, Crawford hasn't had to face a truly top tier elite fighter like Kovalev and Ward just did in each other, and same applies to GGG and Jacobs, I've always thought Danny had elite level skills, I just questioned his chin. And I fully expect him to be pushed to the brink when he does, just like those 4 did with one another.

So I still rank Kovalev and Ward higher.

no argument here....i'd go with him or ward as pfp #1 at this point in time. If crawford lives up to his potential he'll definitely be among the upper echelons of atgs.
