McClellan would outweigh Norris by about 20 lbs in the ring and Norris didn't have a good chin. Norris was prone to trading, and even if he fought a disciplined fight, do you see G-Man not being able to land a couple of big shots?

...rose in weight? all 2 pounds...in some cases.

nah he was a welter that didnt drain.
    if i was a 147pounder.
Winky Wright, Paul Vaden, Raul Marquez, Vargas, Campas, Harry Simon, Verno Phillips, John David Jackson look like fully blown middleweights....not only that, nearly all of them did fight for a middleweight title somewhere down the line.

i would pick my chances with the live but chinny, smaller norris every time....and that was a management move that ****ed up nearly everytime. bringing in the brown fight.

And with Norris, it would only take one,well-placed shot ;) Giving this more thought... When you think of how Jackson violently put Norris soundly into slumber land, you actually begin to fear what Gman would do to him...

that one shot would be VERY difficult to get in as Norris would out hit him 20-1 (at least)

I do believe G-man would survive to hear the final bell tho

How bout Nigel Benn? Did he take Nigel's and keep coming?

see? every man has his limits and I dont give a DAMN how tough he was, if G-Man has to take 20 shots to one, eventually he's going to wear down

History is full of bigger guys who got taken down by smaller, faster, more skilled men

Sorry G-Man, u were good but Norris was brilliant

your analysis is totally lacking. it's not even analysis and based only on wishful thinking and wishful thinking doesnt get it done

why bet on G-Man when Norris had all the big wins, all the speed and all the SKILL?

G-man only has one big win, over a faded Jackson whereas Norris mastered, no, DOMINATED the best

and I dont give a damn what anyone says; Norris punches with the kind of results that would have G-MAN concerned early on in the fight

Think about it; Norris has downed Ray Leonard twice in their fight, buckled his knees from a body shot the first round, and nearly decapitated him in the third. I would say that Norris really won it in the third with that uppercut in which he had Ray intimidated the rest of the fight

what's more, Terry took Ray's bet shots WITHOUT BLINKING. Ray couldnt do the same

and the same goes for Terry's other victims including BEAST Mugabi, Curry, Brown - all going down like newly mown grass before the scythe. he nearly CRIPPLED Gatti with a casually thrown counter hook that instantly dropped him

That too won Norris the fight, and u think G-Man is justgoingto walk thru him

    you're nuts. see a shrink

The question is, could Gman get it done with the first hard shot he lands ? Typical Norris, comes in chin nice and high, hands down. Then Gman``s hard right hand...

it didnt quite work out that way in the Mugabi fight. john, looking for that big right hand u mentioned, never found it

cuz TN never gave him the chance to land it!

my man has all the big wins. in real life, Gerald doesnt have the tools to handle so much copious speed

let's also remember that other "small guys" have moved up successfully to beat bigger men,, men such as Thomas no chin Hearns and Sugar Ray Leonard whose chin was just shy of Norris' in terms of durability

it doesnt really seem like a fair fight for Gerald however becuz of his size advantage, lasts the distance

really? let's see how long u can block me

and if u dont deluded one, u can always write your congressman

so like I was saying, picking g-man was a bad choice becuz G-man didnt go that far and was really just starting his career

and u never shouldve compared Gerald to a beast, knowing that m'man Terry already whipped one inside a round :smoke

are u really that dumb of is just when you're aound me?

Now, we ALL know this is a fight that Norris would NEVER take... He made a career out of picking on both smaller and past their primes `names`...Mugabi ? SRL ? Taylor ? Does anyone consider these signature victories ??? And even when he got a little brave and fought someone who may be tough in his own division... Think, Brown ,Mullings and that spectacular outing against Jackson...

Norris would try to work McClellan over but get touched up, dropped, and finished. I can't see it going any other way, McClellan would put him out inside 5
