Roberto Duran would not be denied against Ken Buchannan and in his first Sugar Ray Leonard fight, although the performances might not be terryfing, they were certainly awe-inspiring imo

Pryor-Arguello 1 should make this list. Pryor ate some bombs and just kept coming non stop. That HAD to be terrifying to Alexis.
I was thinking Trinidad-Joppy as well. I am not a huge Floyd fan but his demolition of Gatti had me in awe. Dont know if people will agree on me with this, but Cotto's destructions of Quintana was pretty damn impressive.
Michael Nunn blasting the seasoned, and very tough, Sumbu Kalambay with one clean punch in the first round.
While you are right about the cuevas fight, the duran fight is slightly ahead for me, just because of who his opponent was. Nobody did that to Duran. Does anyone know who was favoured to win that fight at the time?
Duran was indeed good against Buchanan. But it wasn't Duran at his best as a lightweight when it came to refined skills. His workrate, ability to close the distance, and sheer determination were the main factors on his showing that night. However, he lacked refinement all round. His technique and patience got better as his lightweight reign came to a close against De Jesus in their 3rd meeting. That was probably his peak performance. Economical.
