Been reading on Twitter that the fans were leaving the arena as early as Round 5 last night and it was a 60/40 fight at that point. That's his hometown. I did say before the fight that Smith-Williams should have main-evented because I could see the Flanagan fight stinking the joint out but you'd expect a home crowd to stay for a world champion when the fight is close.

Tells you how boring his style is to watch. And combine that with his totally non-existent personality. You have genuinely the most boring fighter in the country that even Mancs can't get behind.

Now I still think that Hearn demanding £1m for the Crolla fight is OTT and that derby fight should still take place. But jesus how horrible Flanagan is to watch. Not going to watch his next fight unless the opponent is someone who I want to see (e.g. Campbell, Crolla, Linares, Garcia, Zlaticanan etc).

Have to agree. He was happy to see that fight out and wasn't bothered about stretching himself a bit and going for the stoppage. It was like he was going through the motions and couldn't get himself up for it.

a bit of trolling/ disrespectful thread. But yes he's very boring to watch, but he's hardly 'high profile' lol hes been tucked away on boxnation and casuals won't have a clue who he is.

Lee Selby, Bradley Skeete,Frankie Gavin, Hughie Fury, Jack Catterall, Tyrone Nurse, Ashley Theophane, Tommy Langford, Martin J Ward are all really boring too.

I'd rather watch him fight than listen to him talk.

Spot on mate - too many dreadful feather fisted plodders about.

Josh Warrington joins the above list for me

In reality there's really not a true elite fighter in the Wazza camp still after signing who he can so how is he going to fill The New Era shows he's promised all year? BT have just lost a shed full of money with bad business and I think they've done it again.........BJS is finished at top end IMO, Fury will never bounce back by the look of things or maybe that's all he will do looking at his weight and the likes of Flanagan, Warrington weren't and never will be crowd pleasers. Give it a year and I see problems occurring. Pity really as Wazza is a trier but has shafted too many people to be the saviour against Hearn.

The best domestic boxing seen on UK TV over the past 3 years was Channel 5 showing Fat Mick's cards.

And people laughed or thought Hearn was taking liberties when he said no 50/50 for crolla fight?

I'll ask this again. What does Flanagan bring to the table? Yes a world title but that fight sells on the back of crolla's name and matchroom promotion.

Good fighter, just doesn't have any star quality. Lets face it the likes of Linares and Loma would hammer him.

The atmosphere when TF was holding.. sorry I mean "fighting" was awful.

Between Flannagan and Adams they killed any atmosphere in the place.

Lomachenko would hammer everyone so theres nothing bad about that and yh Linares would probably beat him too.
Flanagan could have a long reign as champion if he avoids Garcia, Linares and Lomachenko when he moves up, that would be the clever thing to do but maybe he'll want the money.
