You sure youve actually seen warrington fight?
I know people dont like him because of the leeds utd thing but to call him a plodder is stupid.

Flanagan needs to decide if he wants to be a real star or if he just happy ticking over until his cash out comes. This was a big opportunity for him and I didnt really see any devil in him.

Flanagan just has no x factor about him as a fighter, looks to be in good shape but against Petrov he got the win which was the bare minimum required but he ate a few shots and at no point did he ever look like getting him out of there, he's also bolt up right with limited head movement- against better fighters thats game over

Ok pal ur entitled to ur opinion but if you cant reasonably describe a fighters style then your opinion and word doesnt carry much weight on a boxing forum.
To call warrington a plodder shows that you dont know what a plodder is.
in his last fight v hyland he made continuos two phase attacks, pivoted well and shuffled in and out of attacks with ease. Now that aint no plodder.
Even the featherfisted remark isnt fair on him, hes stopped 4 out of past 9.
Why all the hate on warrington. For most its because of the leeds utd footy following but youve stated that isnt the case. So what go on?

Flanagan isn't high profile. None of the box nation stable are. Look at their twitter followers next to sky's lot.

Flanagan needs to cash in and hand his title over to Loma or Garcia. If he was going to be a star it would have happened by now. The guy has no profile, and is with the wrong promotor to build a fanbase.

Warren can't raise a profile to save his life.

    You're from Leeds aren't you... :D

he's stopped 5 out of 24 - The feather fisted remark is perfectly fair.

Warrington has talent, but he's top of my list for "most boring high profile" above Flanagan.
If it wasn't for his support he wouldn't have been near matchroom....

    Im not from Leeds.
I just happen to think that Warrington is a decent fighter and the stick he gets is undeserved.
Regarding how many people hes stopped. As the years go by things start getting less relevant, it matters what a boxer has done of late. Anyone who knows boxing will tell you that, yourself included, im sure.
Otherwise what chance does selby have in his next fight, he was beaten by a guy whos never won anything.
Power can develop as you mature. And stopping 4 out of 9 would suggest to me that hes developing.
You do know that the first two belts he picked up he was the away fighter right? Josh hasnt had an easy route, people think hes this big protected ticket seller. He won the english and cwealth as the away fighter, he wasnt the ticket seller.
Warrington comes to fight and hes entertaining. Hes no finished article by far but after selby no one can argue hes our best fw.

I would put Quigg and Frampton above him. Kid Galahad would probably beat him too.

Agree, Warrington is one of the few relatively light-punching fighters I enjoy watching because of his high rate of activity. Normally the lack of suspense with feather-fisted types bores me (as there is no possibility of a sudden KO), but Josh's movement and punch accumulation generally keeps me occupied - seems a nice lad too.

The Flannagan fight was poor but I am not throwing him under a bus just yet - I suspect / hope he fights to the level of his opposition - does just enough to get the result, and will be better and more entertaining against quality (that said, I thought the same about Scott Quigg.... and look what happened against Frampton!).
