Terry Flanagan is a 5'9.5 26 year old Lightweight with a 29-0 12 KO's record. Born in and fighting out of Ancoats, Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom. The British lower divisions have the unfortunate tendency to be incredibly feather fisted many of its denizens that populate Lightweight and everything to its South possess this trait. But that forces them to become far better boxers since they can't rely on power and power only, which is somewhat of a good thing. Terry a southpaw who has the distinction of being the first man from England to win a title at Lightweight has fantastic fundamentals and he lives up to his name Turbo due to his hand speed being incredibly quick, he has good footwork, good jab all around a fairly solid fighter. However I resent him to a certain extent due to the fact that he has two wins in 2015 over fighters that I like more than him, he beat Stephen Ormond by DQ since Ormond frustrated by his holding repeatedly headbutted him, and Jose Zepeda a very talented undefeated Welterweight who moved down to get a title shot was injured in the second round when Terry hit his shoulder causing it to dislocate and giving him an undeserved TKO win. But Turbo Terry is still a real talent who deserves more attention So Check Him Out. :toney:toney:toney:toney

The UK Lightweight scene is red hot at the moment, The general feeling is that Anthony Crolla should also be a world champ at the moment, hopefully something that can be put right in the rematch, Kevin Mitchell and Rickly Burns are up the road , Derry Matthews is a Dangerman and Luke Campbell is coming up fast, And none of them would find Turbo Terry an Easy nights work..very far from it...

Luke Campbell seems pretty solid, but at this point Matthews and Mitchell have had theirs chins shattered a few too many times to be top level anymore. Burns is a good journeyman who's tough as nails and can give anyone a good fight but lose on points.

I must admit I've been on the fence about Terry for awhile now but that bumped me over to being a real fan, that was pretty impressive.
