Catterall is keeping his legs wide, planting the left toe-down outward behind himself after swinging it around like a compass, stubbing a cigarette with the ball of his right as he flutters the southpaw jab up in Putkonen's face. A few diving rights on the body from Putkonen, but always shooed away by a fast dusting of counters by Catterall.

Catterall is starting to work a 1-2 over the gloves, drilling into the middle-crown of Putkonen. Catterall is throwing left hand leads, as both straights and uppercuts, into the stomach of Putkonen from outside while leaned back in a southpaw Philly shell, and then covering his lean-away by flicking up a right jab before Putkonen is able to respond. Putkonen initiating very little, and getting countered when he does, just hoping to land something big as Catterall is on his way out but timing nothing of note, remaining too long in his shell.

Catterall is prodding the brow of Putkonen with the right jab and slashing with a light hook while stepping wide around him. Lefts downstairs by Catterall. Putkonen is forced to lunge, well out of range, falling short and getting peppered with head shots as he bows forward and covers up before slinking out again.
