I watched Fury's little documentary about training for this comeback earlier, though he's definitely a *********** I definitely like the lad. Hope this comeback is a successful one even beyond today.

BT just flashed up a list of 10 leading British heavyweights with Gorman just edging in at number 10. Strength in depth in this division is quite impressive, as good as I can remember it.

That fight was in the works a little while back, until Webb pulled out (with an injury I think).

Nate Gorman would ruin Nick Webb anyway.

I predict that by 2028 every world title in every division will be held by a gypsy. Bookmark this thread and quote me on it come 2028. :deal:

Gorman will work Dubois over: very light on his feet despite his size, good defence, and too much variety for Dubois to deal with IMO. The fact that Dubois doesn't really seem to be having the quality of his opposition stepped up much, being fed a steady stream of featherfists and Cruuserweights, could well make Dubois feel complacent.

    J. J. Metcalf vs Aitor Nieto
    Round 1: 10-9

Nieto looks okay for a late replacement imo. Nothing spectacular but Metcalf either.

    J. J. Metcalf vs Aitor Nieto
    Round 1: 10-9
    Round 2: 10-10

Nieto starting very well in the second round jabbing a lot, he also throws some good uppercuts from the distance. Metcalf starts throwing more in the second half of the round. Another close round where Metcalf landed cleaner but Nieto landing definitely more. Not impressed so far tbh.

2-1 Metcalf, thought Nieto did more than enough win round 2 outright.

    J. J. Metcalf vs Aitor Nieto
    Round 1: 10-9
    Round 2: 10-10
    Round 3: 10-9

Close round. Less activity from both this round. Metcalf is trying to pressure Nieto and closing the distance but he isn't throwing a lot. He won the round with being more accurate. Nieto starts too late working the jab this time.

    J. J. Metcalf vs Aitor Nieto
    Round 1: 10-9
    Round 2: 10-10
    Round 3: 10-9
    Round 4: 9-10

The round started with a low blow by Metcalf. Nieto took his time to recover. Nieto started well with the jab, he has a serious size and reach advantage here but he was countered once by a big right hand and then acted a way more passive, trying to create some kind of distance. Metcalf isn't doing a lot here. Nieto a couple of good shots this round and moving quite well. Another low blow by Metcalf at the end of the round. Last warning for Metcalf, another low blow and he gets a point deducted. Good finish from both fighters. Nieto took the round imo.
