If Flanagan truly is world class, he should school Petrov. Fight of the night is undoubtedly Smith-Williams. I'm edging towards Williams but it's not a bout I'd bet on. A real 50/50.
I have a small bet on Petrov. He's really solid, chooses his punches well, can move well and is defensively responsible while boxing on the front foot, and most importantly he's stronger and can take it better than anyone Flanagan's fought (only stopped by Maidana, who he shouldn't have been in the ring with). He's on a good winning streak so is confident too. Flanagan's been facing too many slower, lighter hitting opponents, he's in with a real opponent now. Even money I wouldn't pick Petrov, but he has a chance and 4/1 is an insult.
Does L. Smith missing the weigh in help or hinder his chances against his fellow Liam? Is it Danny Jacobs style tactical weight or more like Chavez Jr cheeseburger weight?
