How do you think the Terrible one would fare if he was a pro today?

The BW division is as fractured as it's ever been but it has had a long standing number 1 in Yamanaka.

In his most recent fight Yamanaka was a huge favourite but managed to trade knockdowns before emerging victorious.

What we know of McGovern suggests him to be an offensive wizard with lightning quick hands and game changing power, But his defence is none existent.

He reminds me a bit of Ketchel.

Yamanaka is clearly the more talented boxer and the better technician, but given his recent struggle, would he capitulate to a prime McGovern if he was his next challenger?

Your right luf, he does remind one a little of Ketchel. Fleischer who said the first fight he saw was Terry against Pedlar Palmer and saw all the bantam's though rockabye Ruben rated Terry his all time #1 which is interesting. I can't see a Zarate, who blocked most of Zamora's power shots, getting tagged with McGovern's windmill right hooks and unless that first right hand he threw at Joe Gan's actually hurt him there isn't much weight in thinking he'd beat the modern bantam's of Zarate's skills.

The Gans fight has to be dismissed imo.

Zamora is a good comparison, a one dimensional slugger with horrific power.
