McGovern was too fast a starter for Carlos and would simply overwhelm him

Just about everyone who saw Terry McGovern from 1897 to the time he met his Waterloo
in 1901 when Young Corbett pulled the great upset by koing McGovern, had Terry as the No.1 featherweight ever...He kod great featherweights as Pedlar Palmer, George Dixon,
Eddie Santry, Oscar Gardner, Aurellio Herrera, Joe Bernstein, LW great Joe Gans [ likely a dive],and was considered unbeatable in his tremendous power attack. But like a meteor
McGovern was through at the tender age of 21...I pick him to outspeed and kayo the great puncher Zarate in a war...

I rate McGovern, but if he stepped to Zarate as he did Gans he'd get wiped out like Zamora.

Carlos thought he was having a bad day with Gomez, who roughed him up a few times and commited frequent fouls, think what TM would do. I think he would lose his composure fairly quick

Carlos is clearly out of his league
