Same. He was a mean ma****a with skills to match. Killer in the ring and as nice as can be outside of it.
Norris was a dirty fighter with a suspect chin. His fights with Julian Jackson and Simon Brown are among my favorites.
great and he wasn't dirty, he was simply a guy hyperfocused with destroying his opponent and when he saw his victim wounded he lost sight of everything other than finishing them off. it was clear his fouls were unintentional, he was just caught up in his task of annihilation. I wish more fighters today were as "dirty" as Norris.
I love Norris and the highlight is great, but come on he was a dirty fighter. Not just for the Santana fights but also for slugging Troy Waters when he was down too. The guy threw a lot of cheap shots in other fights as well but there's no doubt he was a great, great fighter and his foul tactics shouldn't overshadow that.
He was a beast with serious skills, I was pissed when he beat SRL because SRL is my favorite but I became a fan of Norris from that point on
Well depends on how you look at it. From watching his entire career set its obvious to me Norris was a guy who was just really hungry to hurt people. He lost control over his killer instinct sometimes, which culminated in hitting people when they were down, after the bell, etc. In almost all those foul instances it appeared to me as if he lacked some self control over his determination to finish people off, not a guy who was intentionally dirty or unsportsmanlike.
Great job man, terry norris has always been my favorite fighter. Btw, whats the song that you use for the intro?
Did any get shot more precipitously than him? I think I saw a short clip of his Keith Millings fight and he's unrecognizable as Terry Norris in it.
I'm not saying his tactics were intentional-in fact I suspect you're right, that he just gets caught up in the fray. But that focus/lack of restraint came back to bite him in the ass twice and nearly caught him his fight with Troy Waters. Cheap punches are cheap punches when you get down to it. Still, he's a great fighter, no question.
BS - He was dirty. In the Waters case, he hit him while he was down because he'd been rocked numerous times by this nobody and he wanted to get the thing over with. And as good as he was, he wasn't has good as he thought he was. His win over SRL was sad, and did not showcase what a great talent he was as much as it showcased how far beyond shot SRL was. Prime for prime, SRL makes very short work of him. We'll never know if Norris had any heart to withstand one of those truly grueling matches because he went loopy every time he got hit with anything.
