. In the top 3 light middleweights of all time along with Hearns and McCallum.

    . A mean, vicious man.

    . Weak chin

. Dynamic, fast, compact puncher and very exciting.

. Very difficult to outbox. Norris was a boxer puncher, killer. And if you couldn’t hurt him or muscle him, you were in for a beating.

. Great finisher. One of the best of the last 30 years.

. Bit of a hothead. Got into too many brawls for his own good. Disqualified a few times because of his temper and indiscipline.

. Feasted on too many smaller guys (welterweights) which takes something away from his legacy.

. Very strong mentally. KO'd by Simon Brown, came back and boxed the second time and won. Viciously KO'd by Julian Jackson and went in straight away with another big puncher (although past his best) John Mugabi and blasted him out. Which showed his mental strength and the fact that he didn't get discouraged.

. Best wins are Meldrick Taylor, Don Curry, Simon Brown

. Beat an old Ray Leonard which didn't do him any favours with people

. Had a serious faud with Paul Vaden over a girl, He knew Vaden from his early days as they grew up in the same neigherhood. So he prolonged the beating on him.

. Never wanted a Julian Jackson rematch for good reason. They were in the same stable with Don King, but he never asked for the rematch, instead he's was calling out smaller guys in Whitaker and Chavez.

. Sadley now suffering from Parkinsons

Excellent athlete, highly scouted baseball player, put up freakish numbers in the weight room... Superv hand speed, power and solid fundamentals...

Otherwise, shaky chin and focus that could be distracted.

I wasn't aware of that either, though I knew he'd been slurring his speech since the end of his career. You could tell there was something physiologically wrong with him by then; against Rosenblatt, he'd move forward on his left foot and almost fall over, or he'd drag his back foot. He was damaged quite visibly, and god knows how he got a license. Shame.

When he puts his punches together its a thing of beauty, the way he destroyed Meldrick Taylor and John Mugabi were fun to watch. A Terry Norris with better defense and better chin would've went to as one of the P4P ATG. IMO he was one of the best offensive fighters of all time.

nice comments. One of the faster hands in the 154 pound division comparable to Hearns. The only problem he had was that he was so fast he could sit and compete with anyone, but he moved, but not great laterally. One of the most complete fights he ever had as a boxer was against Simon Brown. A great performance. I didn't think he could beat Brown after the first fight where he lost rather easily.

Good fighter, fast hands. Threw a nice left uppercut after a sharp 1-2 combo. Great footwork as well. Only problem ( and It`s a big one) very weak chin against ordinary fighters. Trinidad would have hurt him, badly ... His chin holds back his all time great 154 lbs status...

Trinidad only hurts Norris if Terry choses to trade rather than box him. Even then Tito has to get Terry before Terry gets him. Trinidad didnt have the most stable chin. Terry could whack and was a pretty decent finisher

True, but Trindad gets dropped while Norris gets dropped and stopped.... And with Norris, it doeasn`t take a particulary big banger to get it done either... And given Trinidad`s power ( which he took up to 160) He WOULD find Norris and finish him...I have trouble giving fighters with a BAD chin to much ranking...Stopped by, Mullings, Brown etc etc, you get the picture...

I always though JC Vazquez would have beat him were they matched up. If Troy Waters puts you on the canvas, Vazquez puts you thru it.
