Terry Norris was a very fluid boxer with excellent power. He should be able to box circles around Graziano. But, something tells me that in the midst of a shutout win, Norris gets clipped and stopped.
On the surface Norris has the skills to win and hits hard, not as hard as Rocky though, he can't try and fight Rocky the way he did with Troy Waters or he will get his lights put out he has to box. Graziano is a pure slugger and will do whatever it takes to make this a war and Norris likes to think of himself as a warrior too which is suicide against Rocky who is bigger so he must go against his instincts and use speed and skill to frustrate Rocky and go all Chuck Davey on his azz.
Rocky not known for skills but at his best he throws so many punches from every known direction and is very awkward and Norris may not be able to resist temptation and temptation is bad as Rocky hits like a 747 crashing to earth.
Rocky put Tony Zale & Sugar Ray Robinson on the canvas....(though SRR won that fight). The best chance Norris has is to box his way to a decision. Inside 6 rounds, Rocky G. knocks Norris out.
I love Terrible Terry Norris, and am very biased towards him. I think he very well could win a decision if he stayed disciplined like he did in the Brown rematch. If I had to put my own $ on the result, I'd go with Graziano. I think at some point he hits him and stops him.
Graziano would lose every minute of every round right up until the moment he knocks out Norris. When that right hand lands.
It's certainly a possible scenario. It's Norris' fight to lose though; all he has to do is box, box, box and the fight is his.
Rocky is an icon but talk about over rated .. have anyone ever studied his record and how ridiculously pathetic his opposition was ? He has one career win of any note against non-welterweights and that is the defeat of a very tough but old and also over rated Zale .. Terry Norris would destroy him like he did Mugabi .. mismatch.
A one round KO over a still very dangerous Mugabi for starters .. you cannot even begin to compare the level of competition faced .. I actually think that Graziano's overall career opponent's records pre Zale might have been losing ..
Norris was lucky to have gotten the post Hagler Mugabi. Hagler ruined Mugabi. Norris just feasted on the fighter that was already broken. Same with his wins over Taylor and Leonard. They look like good wins. But if you look at the details.... I see Graziano as others have said getting beat convincingly until he finally lands one of those Haymakers. And lights out for Norris. You can't teach weak chin.
So Norris's best win against a none welter opponent is Mugabi. Graziano's best win against a none welter opponent is Zale. I think you should change your focus of argument to one based on styles.
