it's quite possible. Was he not brilliant in stopping the unbeaten Curry? I think he ruined his career.
If Chuck had problems with Bruce Lee speed and footwork you can only imagine what Terry would have done to Chuck.
Benny that is a beautiful portait you have of the legend as he progressed throughout his career. I must find where to get one for my living room wall
Well Rooster you my dog so here's where you can order the portrait of the legend..... http://www.stevealce.com/Sport/TerryNorris.html
By the way Benny, were you priviledged to ever witness the Leonard-Norris fight live? I did. In fact, I remember the day it was announced Sugar Ray signed to face Terry. It was the most joyous day I knew of since Hearns signed to meet Hagler and it was because I knew what awaited Leonard. People thought I was out of my mind when I predicted a one sided beating but I knew that it would be Norris to trouble Leonard, not the other way around. I took 3 personal friends and my woman along to a casino to witness the carnage. While witnessing the destruction in round 3 just after Terry blasted leonard's head skyward, we both smiled as I commented "ahh, all goes well this day" and there were many more rounds of similar dominance just ahead. Just a few rounds into the fight and one could plainly see that Norris destroyed leonard's reputation of impregnability. And after Terry finished with the helpless fool, Terry would go on to conquer new worlds. BTW, as impressive as he was in the leonard fight, I believe Terry did not peak until the Taylor fight where his ultra quickness even levelled the speed demon in short order. Can you imagine someone like kalule facing Norris? That would be legalized murder.
Thank you Benny. I must say that will look beautiful over my fireplace (I never actually use my fireplace)
Actually Rooster I'm only 25 years old and I just became a big Norris fan within the last few months, my boy from Las Vegas sent me his dvd career set and needless to say I had the wrong idea of the man. I use to have a similar view of Norris as alot of the haters in the Classic section do but one day I decided to try and change my perception of him through his fights on youtube and it sparked my interest even further to the point I asked my friend can he send me his Norris career set and that's when I got hooked. BTW are you from California or New York and have you ever had the chance to meet Mr.Norris?
That's some boy you have. Yes, I guess you just have to see someone for yourself to get a feel for what they can actually do. As for meeting Terry, I'm sorry to say I have never met my hero in person. Many famous fighters have fought out of California; Yaqui Lopez, Richard Sandoval (Pomona), Kiko Bejines, George Foreman (Hayward), Mike Weaver (Diamond Bar) as well as Norris who trained out in Lompoc. I really should get out more often. Now, about three years ago I was out with my niece snooping around what was once a nightclub and unbenownst to me, it turned out to be Freddie Roach's gym. One of the management there actually excorted us both up the stairs and you would not believe how cordial they were towards us snoopers. They treat you well up there. I myself live near Santa Monica and the only famous fighter I've seen up close was Hagler in training for the Leonard fight but that wasn't much to see
