    :bbb Discuss....Jr. Middlweight
1989-1993 era of Terry Norris Vs. The current version of Floyd Mayweather Jr. (154)
IYO, Who do you imagine would Win & Why?

Does Floyd have the power to expose Terry's Chin?
Does Norris have the hand Speed to expose Floyd's Counter?
Will Terry's Slight Ht & reach advantage work in his favor? (5'9 188 Reach)
Will Mayweather's Slick PotShot's be to much for Terry's Classic Boxer style?

    I'd favor Mayweather, personally.

    Even at Jr. Middleweight?
Why do you favor Floyd over the harder punching as equal in speed Norris?

What fight in Mayweather's Resume do you base your decision?

    just curious..

Norris is a full-fledged Jr. Middleweight with power.

PBF beat a simillar lightweight who moved up to Jr. MW ODH.

    Norris by TKO in 10.

It's a difficult fight to call but I'd lean toward Norris on the basis that I don't think Floyd matches up well H2H @ 154. I agree with Longhorn Norris TKO around 10.

    Norris comfortably, maybe by stoppage.

Norris had quick hand and feet, good technical skills and could crack at the weight. His chin wasn't the best, but against Mayweather it would be a non-issue.
Matched against fighters that could not hurt him Norris was usually aggressive, looking to get his man out of there. This is a bridge too far for Floyd.

Very brave call. Norris would never have an easy time with Mayweather.

Not easy, but he'd win comfortably enough, imo.

Terry of course. The fact that Floyd is the smaller guy would be very obvious at Jr. MW. Mayweather would make it competitive, but Norris would come out on top for sure.

Call me crazy, but I always thought more of Orlin as a boxer than his brother Terry. Terry seemed to much of a mental case too me, and it seems like one of the most important things in boxing is staying composed and focuses, which terry did not do, while Mayweather did. Its hard to compare since mayweather is much smaller, so idk........

Mayweather the greater fighter imo, but Norris really was terrible at his best 154 days, fast aswell. I'll pick him on the strength of extra size, but it would not be unimaginable for Mayweather to just pull out some masterclass and shock every1, but Terry may stop him aswell

Terry would knock that sucker out! Floyd is just a little guy and Terry is just too damned relentless an attacker. Don't let his fast hands and feet fool you into thinking he's just a finesse fighter.

I am shocked that More of Floyds supporter's have not weighed in on this thread.
Considering Mayweather's biggest win is a Jr. Middleweight victory over a 5'10
bigger fighter in Oscar De La Hoya. (Floyd's Wt was 150lbs)

It is possible for a smaller man to defeat & K.O. Norris, I'll even give you some Ammo...
Simon Brown (A Welterweight Champion Moving up)

    Indeed tho styles make fight's.
I wonder what Chance Most here in the "Classic" give
Oscar De La Hoya Vs. Terry Norris? (Maybe another topic)
