Prime Chavez (140) vs Prime Norris (154) at the catchweight 147. Both sides agreed to fight each other at 147 but somehow this dream match didn't happen. Who do you think would beat Who if it happened at that catchweight?

I really wanted to see this fight back in the day.
I didn’t know who would take it then & still don’t till this day.

Chavez could take advantage since he's the one who moved up in weight while Norris's dehydration could cost him the fight. He never fought at 147. However, Norris had physical advantages over Chavez Sr. and he hit harder than the latter.

That's the only way Terry would've fought him is like that.

That`s because Norris couldn`t get below 154 easily, he was far more powerful than Chavez and just as quick with a better reach, he was also better than anybody Chavez ever beat P4P.

Norris would have beat DeLaHoya at 154 and Chavez couldn`t beat DLH at 140 due to his speed reach and power, all advantages Norris would have had over Chavez but if he was drained below 154 anything could have happened.

I always thought Chavez was too small for 147.

Unless Norris comes in weight drained, he'll stop JCC @ 147.

Yeah I agree. Norris could have been a walking dead man in the ring if he had made 147. Norris could not let the fight go the distance. If the fight had gone the distance then Chavez could have got a chance to beat Norris by his best body work.

Chavez was my favorite ever and even I think that Norris batters him at that weight.

For those saying that Norris would be weight drained, I specifically remember one of his trainers saying in a boxing magazine that the hardest part about training Terry was that he was chronically underweight because you couldn't keep him out of the gym. I know it sounds funny, but I distinctly remember it. Maybe another old guy knows the quote?

I do know neither would be at their best at this weight so does not prove anything really.
